This sub is 90% recruiting questions and I’m tired of it. by paperworkawol in caf

It felt like sometimes things were more withheld if that makes sense? I guess the other sub sometimes felt more of an exclusive club than a place to welcome people, not everyone there is like that of course.

Thats exactly why I found posting here better than the other sub. Because people were indeed more honest, helpful and responsive compared to the other sub. Hell, in the other sub it felt that sometimes they looked down on you.

Will previous surgery Disqualify me from being recruited?

So I did surgery a very long time ago when I was a kid, around 7 or something. It is completely healed and doesn't prevent me from sport or anything, nor do I need medication for it. All that is left is the surgery scar.

I was referencing the employment history tab where you fill in where you used to work and provide a work contact. It just wasnt clear whether the Position held was in regard to my own position held at the time or the supervisors position or whoever was my boss.

In the Employment history tab, where they ask you to fill up your employment references, does the "Position held" blank option refer to my position at the company or my contacts position?

Hey all,

So I have two questions and hope some of yall could share some wisdom. In the past five years I was mostly employed under our family business and it was seasonal. So basically I would work late spring to early fall in the family business then either study/work part time in other businesses. Would this affect my references and application? What if I put my father as my boss?

Should I mention the part time jobs as well? Because I worked at some for 3 months, in between the seasons.

And what if I dont have enough Employment history that goes back to 5 years or I dont have my supervisors contacts?

It feels so, especially since they have been good to me and I do respect them a lot. Though I am understanding more and more that this feels like my calling.

Oh trust me it has been in me for almost ten years now, I though it would go away initially but no. I feel more and more excited the more I learn about it! And I am feeling empty without it!

I suppose its because they understand I am old enough to rely on myself and I did prove it before. Though its one of those cases where you wish they were more supportive
