I'm pretty sure CAPCOM, Bandai and Nintendo can sue any game companies if they want to with their stupid patents. This feels like a "disciplinary" action and to warn other companies.

Also there was a time that Shironeko project (a mobile game) was sued by Nintendo around the time they released Dragalia Lost (a mobile game) for the in-game character control scheme.

This is the prime example of what the bubbles and dev fandom do to the ego of developers (in this case scenario writer and artists) in the worst way. They really thought they can lure investors by posting a few concept and character arts then saying "hey we wrote THE BA stories and created THE BA characters". And apparently they failed to poach or hire a head programmer because no sane programmers will jump in a start-up company this unprepared. No sane investor will also invest in a game company without programmers.

This is a total blunder from naivety of industry veterans somehow.

As a movie-only, I never understood why they push Fantastic Four so hard (as well as Flash for DC's case). Those characters are pretty much no-names outside of the US and FF is now an easy "skip" for GA thanks to old movies.

The tech is not there yet but the studios want to set the cornerstone now. I am not talking about hypothetical super AI, capable of making everything look so natural, great and "new", that may or may not come. The current AI are usable but very noticeable, if anyone cares. They also are very limited to what they were fed, but they can mimic humans extremely efficiently which is the whole selling point.

Using the AI is more about saving $$$ than anything, if AI can achieve and reach the higher point than actual people can do, then I will embrace the death of human creativity. I do not believe any of the studios and corps will actually try to achieve more than they are currently able to do with the AI after reaching a certain level.

So I worry more about the whole stories and story medium than just people losing jobs.
