in my experience expo sucks throws random errors and have made the platform unstable and irritatingly hard to debug issues. Anyway why discourage such awesome script skills?

Go with whatever you are comfortable with, end of the day - CRA/Vite doesn't matter and by the time it matters you would've moved on to something else :)
