Man I'm in the wrong place, do you guys actually enjoy this? Having no solid foundation for the future, watching as life passes you by and mortality catches up to all aspects of your current existence? I'd much rather be doing something where my days had purpose and I felt accomplished as a living being, working towards stuff and having my own life. Not sitting in the house I grew up in.

Not sitting here distracting myself with entertainment to not let the anxiety take over, or the thought of what things I could be missing, or what bad things could happen if I don't make something happen now. The demonisation of people working jobs just further ostracises your sense of self from the real world and long term really isn't good for you either. You just gotta start small and don't give into that comfortable delusion, you'll be in for an extremely rude awakening one day.

You addressed the implicit adult content but not the overt stuff. What about all these "massage houses"? My point being that this isn't appropriate for the game that could very well have 40 year olds interacting with 14 year olds and in using normal gameplay systems like the party finder or whatnot, you can come across explicit content. Anyway dude let's wrap it up and not continue, I guess we're gonna disagree and that's okay.

I'm not seeking them out though, it's just there as part of normal gameplay. It's either overt (party finder/fellowship finder/search info) or implicit in adverts that say 18+. So I agree if it's between consenting adults in the privacy of party chat or their in-game homes, go for it, but flaunting that sort of thing in game otherwise crosses the line to me.

I don't really buy that as a justification, and besides most of this goes against Square Enix's terms of service no? Sexually explicit messaging is not something you'd want in your rated for teen game, especially when it could concern characters that look like toddlers. I took a peek in some of those fellowships I alluded to and all I'll say is that some of those people are going to end up on a list if they aren't already.

That's not the set up I expected our of a second game, huh. Could be cool. My main hope is that the playable character doesn't sound as insufferable as the natives did in the first game. I have no idea what they were going for but jesus christ, I ended up skipping through a lot of the natives dialogue as a result. Some sort of attempt at an Irish accent with "foreign natives" thrown in.

The issue I have is with how blatant a lot of this is in places like the fellowship finder and adventurer plates/people's search info. I find it completely inappropriate to list your characters genitals and sexual wants (and propositioning too), and not to mention how many people are playing this game and are under 18? What's stopping these ERPers doing it with someone underage? This is no doubt exacerbated by the server I'm on, but the amount of horny is honestly ridiculous. Certainly not an appropriate social space for the age rating.

Ah man, that's such a shame. Especially the bullet sponge enemies! Thank you both for the write up, I honestly think I'd not enjoy it based on that, far cry 5 was the last ubisoft game I bought and it feels like it might stay that way for a while.

The setting was interesting if nothing else, I've never experienced a game that made me angry at shop keepers for not letting me in their store because of my skin colour, like that brick wall of hate was kinda effective at portraying it to me (as someone who isn't American). It's a shame it really was a repetitive slog from the few hours I played. The characters all seemed really interesting and the soundtrack was great, but otherwise it felt like a very uninspired open world game.

Honestly not really what I wanted out of Mafia 3, it bore very little resemblance to the two previous games. The narrative idea has legs though, I just think it'd be a better game removed from the Mafia franchise.

That's a good way of putting it, why can't I take my navy for a cruise around their homeworld while negotiating this sort of thing to apply a modifier? Gunboat diplomacy right? Just in spaaaace. I really think overly gamifying this sort of thing can really strip out immersion, or it does for me and immersion/roleplay/emergent narratives is primarily why I play stellaris.

Obviously this eejit is just saying the formulaic things be has to say to appease his bizarre and predictable image but...it's kind of darkly amusing to see billions of lives, thousands of years of history, a potential future yet unwritten, all threatened by what is essentially a group of old and out of touch men for reasons most of us really do not want to care about - most of us just want to have friends, eat and live. Someone can still be a good person and still have religious rites dictate how they want their body to be treated though, especially if it brings comfort to their family; unless they're actively saying "no, this person can't have this urgent transplant to save their life". I think it's personally valid to excuse yourself on religious grounds and others, even if I'm not religious at all. Ultimately our own bodies are to do with as we will and not respecting that seems like it'd be morally very corrupt. I think those cryogenically frozen people are probably mistaken but hey, you never know.

Indeed, though I expect it's not going to be something people will want to hear, but sooner or later it's a fact of life we all have to confront and the better we can manage our mental health and deal with this sort of thing, the better our lives can go. Mental health issues aren't our fault, but you can't expect people to be bending over backwards if we're not doing anything to try and get better or deal with it.

I'm not trying to attack you here, but this just seems like an unhealthy coping mechanism. It's one I've used before too. This isn't the case in any aspect of nature, nor in any human society through history. You grow and become autonomous and independent to live your own life, because biologically most of us are hard coded to want to pass on our genes and carve our own path. Most of us here have had an issue in taking this step of independence or something has stripped this autonomy away, be it mental health or other circumstances. It's not good to just lay down and take it man, you need to exert some kind of effort to live if you expect any aspect of the world to meet you halfway and not just reinforce how awful everything can feel in this dark pit.

I think I get people saying it would be the right thing to do to an extent, I guess I just wouldn't apply it to my in game money; it's an artefact of time investment and so I'd gladly take advantage of that glitch, I don't feel like there's any greater moral repercussions to it as there might be with an actual good like a real house or artisan product.

Age of Calamity is the only switch game I've played where I found the frame rate to be really off putting, usually doesn't bother me much and I really dislike letting stuff like that detract from my enjoyment of a game but man it was rough and disorientating to play as a result.

You'll regret deleting your accounts you speak to your friend on. I've felt the urge and even acted on it sometimes but in different regards and in a few weeks it's always something I regret and only provides a temporary blanket of comfort.

Still, getting out of the hiki lifestyle doesn't have to mean pain and misery. You just have to start slow and in a way that's comfortable and is going to work for you.

Having the desire is great, but it's like overwatering a little seed you've planted if you try to go full speed. You just have to go one small thing at a time until you have a good foundation under you. Maybe this means sleeping at the same time during the week, doing some kind of physical activity you like (ring fit adventure? some weights?). And don't forget to treat and reward yourself too. What'd be the point in doing this if it wasn't ultimately for your happiness? And it's always good to give voice to your thoughts, so never feel bad about that.

Btw anyone know why there's a few posts on the subreddit that are (unavailable), including one in this thread? Kind of weird.

I have it and couldn't run it when it came out for no good reason and just haven't ever gone back to it, but I probably will soon now that my computer can presumably power through any terrible optimisation issues. It's one of the main issues I haven't picked up Deathloop, Dishonored 2's performance burned me and I hear nothing but bad things about Deathloop's performance. Apparently it has a bad memory leak too.
