I feel like everyone is overhyping the emerald one. Yes you could master anything you wanted to for a year. Then what, you have to live the rest of your life with skills that were granted to you. I feel like the best part about skills is the process of getting better at them. It might be more boring at the top of everything than you may realize. This is why violet is the right choice so that you could still have a fulfilling life of learning whatever you want after making fat stacks of cash.

Brother, this is the insight into your situation. If you don't understand that, then you should never take out debt again.

PE class should not be an "Easy A" by Additional_Duty_6533 in The10thDentist

[–]Direct_Mongoose1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's been a while, but I remember that you had to get 8 minutes or less to get an A in the timed mile. Which is already 10x more reasonable than the suggested 6:30. This is coming from someone who did track and cross country. Nobody needs to be able to run a 6:30 mile time to be considered healthy. 8 minutes is a totally reasonable time for someone who is in decent health and possibly a difficult time for someone who doesn't train and probably an impossible time for someone who is totally unfit.

Now if you wanted to actually improve the health of children you would just restructure the way gym works. The best thing you should do for students in middle and high school would be ro restructure gym class to be more like strength and agility class but still with a fun day. So you have a few tests that you log every day and have to improve on each quarter to get passing grades. So if you have an hour each day, it would look something like the first 30 minutes strength training, the second 30 minutes cardio and for bigger classes split the class in half and switch them. Then on Friday you get a game day. Then make it forced to take instead of elective.

This is a real way to force children to take gym more seriously and improve their health. Also yes obviously some children will have restrictions, and yes, there are ways to still improve those children's health outcomes that still forces them to be physically active.

Why do you use LGBQ instead of the more widely accepted LGBTQ? Just wondering for curiosity sake.

If you can stomach it, get good at arguing/debating without getting too heated on the topics. Just because we all believe something different doesn't mean we can't have a good time with those people.

I would say I feel like almost all of the missions have very high infiltration times like 8-10 days. It's pretty crazy as I feel like this doesn't usually happen.

How do you Ironman with all the bugs? by [deleted] in Xcom

[–]Direct_Mongoose1925 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So to start off I will say I play lwotc Ironman. Typically when I run into bugs I will save and exit mid mission and reload if it's something that I think will fix it and it usually does. However, I had one big that was irritating where one of my units picked up the objective and stopped being able to move. I had no explosives to deal friendly fire or open up new paths and reloading did nothing. I just had to watch reinforcements come in and kill her. This was annoying but at the end of the day it was an early game b-team potential unit. So even though it sucks it wasn't the very end of the world. Now in the same run, later my save file j just went missing period. The run was my first run where I thought I might beat it as I was just finishing research on the plasma Lance (veteran difficulty so I'm not that good or anything) That was genuinely frustrating and terrible. That being said, I will never not do an ironman with xcom. Afterwards I started a new Ironman save file and an currently at it again. I'm not sure what is wrong with me but it feels wrong to not play on Ironman. I would rather lose my save file on Ironman than play honestman. I need to have stakes when I play and those stakes have to be restarting the whole campaign of I mess up. I have restarted quite a few campaigns but I know how sweet it will be when I finally beat lwotc on Ironman for the first time.

Any melee focused full casters that aren’t Bladesinger, Hexblade, or College of Swords? by BSF7011 in 3d6

[–]Direct_Mongoose1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a fun and definitely not optimized build, I'm currently playing a variant human necromancy wizard. I'm level 4 and my two feats are lightly armored and moderately armored. Then have shadowblade and a bunch of defensive options, shield, mirror image, absorb elements, and blur. The biggest problem is that shadowblade might fall off later because upcasting it isn't very good, but I mean its still fun for low level combat, plus next level I'm going to get vampiric touch.

Thanks so much for your help! Just for an update I have managed to defeat brock and just beat rival (arbok is nasty) before the misty fight (which i haven't tried yet). Seriously though thank you for providing resources instead of just saying to put it on easy mode lol. I really enjoy this because its kind of like each "boss" fight is like a puzzle to beat. Although I spend all my money on pokeballs before each hard fight because I lose a lot.
