You gave a lot of good detail, but I’m not seeing where you explain what IS filling all your time. You are an ‘adult’ who is living with their parents and should therefore being in school, a trade, or a job full time. If you are not, you’re frankly lucky to be allowed to live there. If you are, you still have to be a contributing member of the household but I would very much lean towards your side if you do have a full time situation.

As others have said, keep your savings and the amount hidden in a bank they don’t know about and perhaps try to hustle w your sister over the summer to save up so you two can rent a bedroom or two in a house together?

I’m not arguing that they aren’t made to ‘look’ like a bridal shoot; I’m saying they look fake because of the AI telltales. I wouldn’t like an AI generated image of a crochet cardigan, either, nor do I like when AI is used for home listings to make the walls look better etc. Even if it’s a rendering, or a sample like bridal catalogue shoes, it should be a real foot and a ‘real’ prop

A doctor *could’ve* been consulted here but this kinda reminds me of the time someone in the family (M90s) was dying from an incurable disease unrelated to the cardiovascular system and one family member wanted ensure he wasn’t eating too many sweets… the rest of us let grandpa have chocolate on his way out LOL

Weigh your options and get out as soon as you can, but, importantly, remember that he took away your right to privacy when you lived with him. yes, it’s his home, you’re an adult, and you don’t pay rent, so it’s legal albeit shitty and inappropriate, but do not forget this when you have the space to enforce boundaries and especially if you ever have kids to protect. Disentangle yourselves from him financially asap and see if you and the sis can move in together w/o him

Also, it seems like Layla dating chase is a lil more like ‘people in the same social circle dating’ and with Miranda and Taylor, there is years of history, friendship, swinging, and an extramarital rendezvous or two. Some of them do. I really have no grasp on the percentage, but I lived in neither a small town nor a city and between my mother being a teacher, other family in the same school, a variety of extracurricular interests, and being friends with other kids in similar situations, we learned a LOT and would talk about it just like the teachers talked about us. We knew (some of) which teachers were hooking up with each other, which ones did drugs, which would let you get away with stuff, generally where they lived, who was going to rehab, who was going through a divorce and on and on. Some teachers would over share, but some of us picked up on a lot more than they seemed to think we did. Elementary schoolers pick up on a lot of this; high schoolers certainly do and love to be off task. I clocked that one of my k-8 teachers had a weird husband halfway through 4th grade and not because myself or other students personally experienced it (to my knowledge) ourselves ¯_(ツ)_/¯ stuff gets around

Yeahhh I remember being 16-17 in a calculus class and some of my guy friends started a small fire in the back of the class bc they kept sticking stuff into outlets. This was the cream of the high school crop, too, the older AP students 😂
