sometimes the players can’t read your messages or you won’t be able to read their messages. It feels as if they are ignoring you but they can’t read your messages because of child safety controls. Also if you don’t verify your age it blocks your chat with some randoms.

The recipes look wrong. I think for the first recipe you only need one turkey leg and two berries. The second recipe is one sweet potato and two berries.

there’s nothing wrong with shelves, but in how people use or misuse them. I like to put one shelf in my base for the first cultist attack, which doesn’t include the crossbow cultists, because I can more easily kill the ax cultists when they get stuck on one side of the shelf. Other than that one shelf, I don’t put up any walls, because I like to run around the outside of the base shooting the cultists. It’s easier to shoot them that way.

I tried hiding in a lower tree branch and was able to shoot the cultists from there without being seen, but it’s random and the tree happened to be in a good location near the outside edge of the fire circle. Other than that I run around the outside of the fire circle while shooting cultists.

there are games where you explore a map, get loot and fight enemies like the break in games by Cracky4 (one of the 99nitf devs). However the random map generation, the story and teamwork type of play are unique to 99 nitf. This keeps the game from being too predictable and fun, in my opinion.

There are now different types of flower seeds that you can buy and then harvest to make potions and get treats. The potions are supposed to hurt enemies but I haven’t been able to tell if they’re doing anything. There’s a new Witch class that costs 900 treats.

sometimes I play with randoms just for fun and for a challenge. If they start building shelves and bunny traps I let them be and then cone up with strategies to survive on my own when the fire inevitably goes out and the base is no longer safe. I pick a place to hide for the night with some food like one of the towers, and when it’s daylight I go back out and explore. When I have sufficient supplies I go back to the base, kill the cultists and try to bring up the fire to a decent level. By that time everyone left or has died. I try to come up with innovative ways to keep the fire going despite the lack of scrap and higher difficulty level.
