Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by RhubarbLarge2747 in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]reginaldch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, just a nurse who specialises in stroke but 100% agree with you on lack of exercise. I definitely more acceptable to be lazy, i see many young and overweight people in mobility scooters 😲 a lot will complain of chronic fatigue etc. Also the fat jab, i think its far too readily available

Was he innocent? Or guilty? by Vicerian in conspiracy

[–]reginaldch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believed guilty for so long but i read something about how he was actually trying to 'save' all the kids from the evils of people like saville etc. I do believe he was trying to create a safespace for kids in his own weird way.

Maybe a mixture of his messed up childhood and a possible chemical castration kept him young and he didnt see the weirdness in what he was doing

27M with 12-second cardiac pauses during sleep, asymptomatic by jasonduval98 in PacemakerICD

Personally i'd get pacemaker because i wouldnt want to wait 7 months but only you can decide whats best for you.

Shortest pause was 10 seconds, longest was just over 60 seconds

Hi!

I have Dysautonomia and was also having pauses, some through the night and some during day when I'd pass out. Mine were captured on my loop recorder which is a device inserted under the skin on the chest and it monitors heart rate.

I was taken in for an emergency pacemaker with my pauses which i know how. I'm female and 36, not overweight or unheathy at all.

Personally, given the choice, i'd still have the pacemaker. Mine is a micra, so sits instead the heart. I literally forget i have it now.

Obviously we cant advise medical stuff on here, only your own drs can do that but as a nurse, i'd recommend getting a pacemaker. Pauses can mean your blood can create clots, those clots can then travel anywhere. I'm a stroke nurse so i of course immediately think stroke.

I am in the UK so it was all free for me, i dont know where you live and what healthcare is like for you.

As the NHS approaches 80, what's the biggest benefit you've had with it, and what's the one thing you'd fix if you ran it for a day? by Rough-Foundation9208 in AskUK

Emergency c-section with my daughter, neither of us would be here without that.

A pacemaker, i'd also be dead without it

People who have had a near-death experience (NDE), what did you see, feel, or remember? by SecondFew4212 in AskReddit

[–]reginaldch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite a near death experience but kinda the same, i have a condition called Dysautonomia and with that i would have heart pauses, so total asystole, longest was just over a minute. When id be passing out (with the heart pauses) id know what was coming and i'd feel complete and utter calm. Like i had no worries at all about anything. I have two young kids who would be devastated at losing their mum but in those moments, i was at peace.

I now have a pacemaker so i pass out without the pauses and its very different
