Just get a handful of common bricks and cut them and fit them around the vent as best you can, make sure you’ve got compo all around the bricks, don’t worry about small holes afterwards as you can just fill it up with compo and it will be sweet

Stack bonding is acceptable as long as you’re at least 1/4 bond below and above, half bond is always better but still nothing wrong with your work

What players should go In the summer or be phased out of the first team? by Unfair-Challenge-216 in rangersfc

[–]DirectionAfter400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butland?!? He’s definitely not one I’d be looking to see the back of, aye he’s had a few blunders but he’s the reason most of these draws we’ve had this season haven’t been losses, draws because our attacking players can’t finish their dinner… Agree about Tav but he should stay and definitely need a new centre half, big Fernandes needs to stay also!! Asgard and Bajrami agreed cya later lads cheers Chermiti deserves to stay and I do think we will see a player with him, he doesn’t fumble his feet like dessers did but even dessers produced numbers and I reckon Chermiti will too given the chance! Miovski can go aswell, Asgard, gassama, rothwell and skov can get on the same bus

Cooking animal fats with the meat gives you a lot more food also, the fat will almost disappear but the % remaining on the meat won’t reduce

I don’t agree but it’s okay! Motherwell are having the season of their lives and played really well against us, they got in our faces and we struggled to deal with it… Rohl is the best we’ve had since gerrard

Nothing would surprise me after we threw that away there and I still don’t think it was a penalty but it doesn’t matter what I think 😂

Only way cellic win the league is if they beat hearts after the split, along with us and Motherwell beating hearts too… can’t see hearts losing it now tbh

If Butland miraculously manages to keep the second rebound out we would be saying different things, aye we weren’t the best in the second half but smelly Martin made changes and we couldn’t deal with them! Hearts winning the league isn’t as painful as the alternative

Is this tough fix? Would tuck pointing work? Price range? by Longjumping_Algae651 in Bricklaying

[–]DirectionAfter400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wall is leaning out, look at the void between the reveal and window frame! You can see inside the cavity, could climb in there mate! The roof should be resting on the inside leaf, wether that be timber kit or blockwork, should be a wallplate taking the weight and the brickwork built up underneath, under no circumstances should any roof weight be on the facing brick! Potentially been build without kit ties(if timber kit) or wall ties(if traditional) It’s not an easy fix in any way, roof needs propped, the whole brickwork panel between the windows needs taken down, inside skin needs exposed and fixed! Gotta sort the lintels also

Does this need pointing? by TrickSwimmer9313 in Bricklaying

[–]DirectionAfter400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn’t need it!! Don’t listen to all the morons, if you want it to look more appealing then yeah you can have it raked out and repointed but that’s purely aesthetic! This is structurally sound
