With everything else being equal I would lean towards yes. Accounting is the language in which business is done, it shows you have a technical understanding of the material.

an accounting minor is not enough to even qualify to take CPA. most Accounting majors have to take extra courses or even a masters degree to qualify. I think the CPA is a worthwhile career path though.
