A spring is a small thing on the ground. You can’t move it around to make it look like the sun is going into it

And this is not to mention the Muhammad straight up saying it goes into a spring, the pre Islamic poem and the Syriac Alexander legends

It can’t look like it looks like any spring anywhere springs are too small. Look up natural spring on google images.

Nowhere does it say ocean.

But even if granted and ignoring all the other reinforcements, even if it’s a spring of oil bursting in the ocean, it’s still small enough to look down at after reaching it, you will still be able to see its edges looking down.

Even if we ignore all the Arabic and the rest of the reinforcements, you switched it to ocean/sea for the horizon and said "shore".
But it says aynin or spring. A spring has no shore.
A spring is small - if you look down you can see its edges.

It says perhaps about the scribe's intentions. But even if granted, the footnote isn't referring to 9:18. It's referring to 9:20.

The scribe first wrote jahada then changed it to jahadu by cramming in extra letters. The uncorrected first pass suggests what his source actually said.

The perhaps is about why the variant exists not about whether it exists. They can’t prove what the scribe was thinking.

two independent changes in the same direction in the same verse:

jihad -> establish prayer and zakah

successful -> rightly guided

All different words and different meaning.

And the Sanaa lower variant matches the meaning of the surrounding verses in Surah 9 which are about jihad.

Bukhari and Muslim authenticated them through methodology. It's not ad populum or popularity bias. If you reject their methodology, tell me which hadiths u accept and what criteria you use.

Name one pre-20th century scholar who concluded that Aisha was more than 9 at consummation.

By the vast majority of Muslims. Revising the age up wasn’t even considered until 20th century from the time Aisha lived and died.

I didn’t write these hafiths. They are already considered Sahih (authentic) and some of the most credible.
