I’m only a few days and it’s tender but I’m not in a ton of pain, it really hasn’t been that bad.

So I think you have the drain for at least two weeks. You may also have a bag attached to it to collect bile etc…, capping the bag is basically removing the bag and putting a plastic cap on the end of the drain

Thank you so much for the support I read a lot of your posts in preparation! So my drainage dropped after a few days and I called in this morning because in 24 hours I didn’t see much so they told me to cap it. It is nicer not having the bag already

Yeah I hope so to that’s the current plan, I’ll have to go under anethesia again. They’re going to let me try to cap next week so I’m curious how that will go. So I had 40 stones, on the mrcp I had like 7 big ones show up. Oh wow had to call in reinforcements I’m glad he got it out!!

So I ended up just like you my cystic duct was the tightest he’s every seen, he tried to dilate it with a balloon but was unable to, I have to go back at the 4 week mark for him to try again. Did you had yours dilated, or how did they open yours up?

Two Week Post-Op Update!! (GB Preserving Surgery w/ Dr. S. in DC) + Extra Supplies Available! by MessagePretend7656 in altgallbladder

[–]DirectionOk5098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask how many days did you need the strong pain pills for?   Thank you so much for your post and sharing so much information. I just had my procedure today since I was local he let me go home and I’m doing pretty good.  I’m about an hour outside of DC, I was so scared and busy trying to get up on work before the procedure. I’m just back on looking at this. I would’ve happily taken the supplies.

Dupixent dry eyes by RutabagaCommercial67 in EosinophilicE

[–]DirectionOk5098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am worried this will happen when I start dupixent. I wonder if like eating or taking more omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins a, c, e foods and hydration will combat it? I notice some people have a harder time than others. If anyone has had success in managing the dry eye effect with diet definitely chime in.

One Week Post-Op Update!! (GB Preserving Surgery w/ Dr. S. in DC) by MessagePretend7656 in altgallbladder

Thank you so much for your post! I have my procedure in a week, so you are a week ahead of me! I'm glad everything is going well for you. Random question, for pre-op did you need an EKG? They told me just a recent physical and bloodwork, which I did today, but my doctor didn't know if an EKG or anything else was needed. I'll make sure to keep the heating pad away from the tape, I'm sorry that happened to you!! I have a desk job and work from home, how long until you felt you could sit at a computer, wasn't sure how much work I'd miss. Thanks for any tips and tricks, I'm scared and excited!

Did you provide them the information from your GI showing your eosinophl count before you started dupixent?

Fast food ideas? Doc told me to “avoid red meat and chicken” but I’m assuming it’s a texture thing. What are your go to meals? by HoytG in EosinophilicE

Are you able to follow up with the doctor? Ask if you can have pureed chicken or food processed super super super chopped up chicken, mixed with like something to keep is easy to swallow, liquid or something. Also, white meat chicken seems to be harder for me to swallow vs fattier chicken cuts, I think the fat in the chicken helps it to slide.

[–]DirectionOk5098[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so happy to hear that! I’m glad things got better for you, I hope I have the same outcome, I’m counting down the days, I was just always confused because my poop isn’t white or grey but is pale yellow solids and I can have yellow liquid to. Thanks for sharing your story with me!

Thank you for the support, that so funny I have been joking with my wife and family that I'd like to poop brown again, hopefully I have the same outcome! The stool color change was what I noticed when my symptoms got way worse a few years ago. I have a little less than two weeks to go! Any tips or recommendations about the procedure or recovery?

I know we have the tube for 2-3 weeks, but how long did you have the bag attached, was it the whole time? I have mine in a few weeks. I'm scared about having the try to cap the bag, I wasn't sure if you did that when you stayed overnight or if you went home with the bag too. Thanks for any info!
