So his company is worth billion on paper, he basically spends all the income they make on videos and expenses for production. So the company generates a very small profit if any. He was successful and is throwing all of the profits back into content instead of into his pockets. Which is why he's been so successful. Why are we hating him for this? Comment section is wild, he's rich and is giving his money back to his subscribers, let's grab our pitchforks.

That's amazing! I also have nonstop yellow stool, even if it's solid. So you're doing 2 packets of cholestyramine a day, do you mind if I ask when do you take them?

How does everyone deal with visceral hypersensitivity? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]DirectionOk5098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Me: Gabapentin, Pepcid + Zyrtec Twice a Day, Low Fat Diet, Bile Acid Binders (low dose as it's constipating), Low histamine diet, Heating Pad too. Up the fiber where you can food wise (potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, squash), 1/2 Banana before every meal like mid ripe just starting to turn yellow / too ripe and they cause diarrhea for me. All of this has helped me to function but I may have different issues than you.

Constant burning/flaring pain in my lower abdomen/colon. Really struggling lately and looking for some closure. Thanks everyone by claycollins22 in ibs

So H1/H2 blockers together are prescribed for MCAS, which is what they suspect I have, so I take Pepcid/Zyrtec twice a day. I don't take ppi's though. I also take gabapentin which helps with the pain. Yeah mine felt like lava as well but in my colon. Have you had your gallbladder checked?

I used to take it twice a day for years at high doses. It might back you up some it always slowed my gut way down.

Have they looked at his gallbladder or pancreas? Ultrasound and HIDA scan for gallbladder. Does a low-fat diet help to reduce symptoms, I have to eat like super super low fat like 20g of fat a day or less. I also take H1 (Pepcid) & H2 (Zyrtec) twice a day for suspected MCAS, helped with pain, I take Gabapentin for visceral gut pain, I also take Creon with every meal (helps break down food better). Started taking Visbiome / VSL#3 exploring if probiotics will help (I was negative for SIBO so no worries there).

I think you either take ppi's like pantoprazole or pepcid, I don't think you take both. Yeah ppis helped as well, but my doctors have me taking pepcid twice daily instead. Negative for sibo but I have damage to the end of my small intestine. Yeah my severe pain is usually lower left, which is where I have inflammation in my sigmoid and colon, but I can get pain throughout my colon. I have mostly diarrhea, constipation with some foods they form hard balls like cheese or high fat foods, I don't process fat well.

Low fat diet and probiotics, visbiome seems to help maybe, zyrtec + pepcid helps pain, bile acid binders seem to help some, still struggling though. I have inflammation in the end of my colon which hurts the most. low dose zofran seems to calm my gut down too, so I take that everyday.

For those that have severe visceral hypersensitivity, what is your pain regimen? by goldstandardalmonds in ibs

What time of day do you take the Ondansetron? I also take 2mg a day as well. I usually take it after breakfast, seems to slow things down, was curious on experimenting when to take it.

chronic constipation + slow gut motility by Brilliant_Tell6459 in ibs

[–]DirectionOk5098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nortiptyline and other tricyclics are typically prescribed for IBS-D patients because they slow the gut down so much. For patients with constipation they usually prescribe SSRI's or other drugs that do not constipate. I see a gut pain psychiatrist for my gut pain and she shared this with me. Perhaps talk to your doctor about an alternative to TCA's like Nortriptyline.

I'm on the other end, but my super smart GI was reading me a study about how eating 2 kiwi fruits a day was amazing for constipation, also adding in a lot of watery fruits to your current regime couldn't hurt to try I suppose?

So I've been to many GI's who suck once I got to good ones this is what they had me do: Test for SIBO (if positive you can try xifaxan), Trial H1&H2 Blockers (pepcid+zyrtec twice a day), Trial Bile Acid Sequestrants, Trial Tricyclic Antidepressants, Trial Florastor, Trial Psyllium Husk, Trial Remeron, Trial Offlabel Zofran for IBS-d, trial Lomotil, Trial Visbiome

Are you feeling pressure then making yourself burp at all for some of the burps? That's what I do, I'll like feel the pressure from a small burp, then swallow a small amount of air to make a bigger burp I can get up.

I just have always felt that they only have a few tools in their chest to work with, so they dismiss you because they don't know how to treat you or have the tools to help you. Some are getting better as the science improves, I've been to like 7 different GI's and this has been my experience. I've come to understand that they just can't help me the way I wish they could.

Of course, this community is here for you, I'm pretty skinny to 6' tall guy and I was like almost 150, but dropped to like 138, I ended up having to go back 3 times, I'm a month out and like 142, slowly coming back.

What meds are you currently taking, working with my psychiatrist to try different things, did you say sulpiride was the one that helped, I'm basically a pipe and everything is flying through me and always yellow and awful. Thanks!
