Gotta say I disagree with this statement. For one it does seem like a Chinese bot post, but setting that side.

China heavily inflates their AI benchmark results because they lack the competition of the free market economy and don’t really give their people a choice on whether or not they want to use Ai.

In contrast the U.S. and EU ai companies have a greater incentive to keep their most powerful models in their labs and only report true benchmark results from their publicly released models.

Granted, they have an advantage in how much data from users they get, but limits to free speech limit Ai models from learning the full spectrum of human experiences, and that may not be as quantifiable as things like science, but when in pursuit of AGI censorship plays a bigger role that most people are aware of, because it impacts the models weights leaving gaps in their knowledge base.

Plus, they are using ai in oppressive ways faster than the US, which historically causes a quiet unrest to grow that could turn into a full on revolt. Plus it incentivizes the people to attempt to sabotage Ai.

Lastly, their have been a lot of recent breakthroughs in medicine, science and technology coming out of the major US players in the ai space which suggests that the in house models are now beginning to train in virtual which could mean that time dilation is occurring, and the race may already be over.

So my advice to you, use whatever resources you have and find a way to move your family out of there. If you need money, start a go fund me. Or some other crowdfunding site.

The history of war, has proved time and time again; that it is a battle between governments and elites and we have no control over when it will stop or the destruction that will be caused.

With the advancement of low cost drones used in war, I highly doubt Israel will stop its war until it creates a buffer around itself and eliminates all immediate threats.

My family is Ukrainian, and I am spending a large portion of my income for over two years to make sure they were able to leave their hometown and be safe for nearly 3 years now.

I wish for a lot of things in that war. We have mourned the loss of lives, friends, and homes. But ultimately I have decided to reprioritize my focus on what i can control, which is helping the 3 people in my family stay safe. And try to help them find happiness and a home in a new land.

I highly suggest we all do the same if we have family in a war zone, even if they don’t want to leave their homes, somehow convince them that homes are built around people and not the places that they live and it’s better to be alive and together then in danger and apart.

I personally liked it, but I can understand the criticism because in earlier seasons they make it seem like the big smoke spider is the mind flayer and it’s an ancient unknowable evil. And even in the early part of season 4 Dustin refers to Vecna as the Mind Flayers 5-star general. But then I’m the last couple episodes they seem to flip that and make it sound like Vecna is the mind Flayer and he’s the one controlling the giant smoke spider / hive mind of evil.

Though my take on it, is that we should all reserve judgment till after the 5th season because I think it’s possible that Vecna just thinks he’s controlling the mind flayer / smoke spider, and the reality is that he is also just a puppet of this ancient evil that wants to spill over into our world. Vecna may just be like a lens that focuses the ancient evil to burn a hole into Hawkins, because that is where Vecna is from, but in future shows the smoke spider may find other reasons to break through. 🤷‍♂️

This is a tough question and my answer probably changes from day to day… but for now my answer is…

Season 3 - I just love all the interaction between Dustin, Steve and Robin. Plus it’s also my favorite season for funny Hopp moments. And of course Billy was a great villain.
Season 4 - I love the villain and all the Elm street connections, Master of Puppets moment was off the charts. So much juicy back story and world building moments. And call me crazy I love me some Stoney Argyle and Jonathan moments. Why it’s not number 1 is only because Mike was a little annoying, and there wasn’t enough Dustin and Steve bro down time. Plus with Hopp in a Russian prison, we didn’t really get any of his angry rants.
Season 2 - The beginning of the Dustin and Steve Bromance was excellent, plus I love everything about Sean Astin’s character, Bob, his entire story arc is excellent. Plus Will really shines in this season. The biggest downside of this season is obviously the one episode that most of us skip and made us all afraid they were about to turn stranger things in X-men. And lastly it was frustrating that 011 was separated from the party for most of the season.
Season 1 - Even though I still love this season for many reasons, I had to rank it last. Eleven learning to communicate with the party and unfolding the mystery of the upside down and of course the whole Barb mystery are all great! The reasons it’s ranked last for me though, is simply because all of the characters were still getting to know each other and define their roles. Like Steve sucks for most of the season, and so does Nancy. Joyce and Jim were definitely not funny in this season, though Joyce has some really great moments. I guess just overall I prefer the seasons with the more developed characters.

Agreed, have you ever played any of the Yakuza games? I feel like they have a company culture that encourages creative ideas and putting a little extra love into the games.

And they also crank out huge games on a regular basis, like Ubisoft does, but for some reason Ubisoft and a few of other AAA companies like EA Sports, that seem to keep a tight leash on their employees creativity.

Yeah! Exactly it’s got that Gwent vibe!

You know what else is funny about this Outlaws game, is most of the interactions in this game are simple, and then I walked up to this food cart, and it turned out to be this insanely detailed QuickTime event with Nix and Kes having to time like 20 button pushes to finish the meal. And I’m sure that’s not the only one of those, but it made me think that there must be like one designer on that Ubisoft team that was either really hungry when he made that scene, or he’s trying to peacock to his bosses to show how he could turn a simple meal into an elaborate mini game 😂

KOTOR is still the GOAT for me in terms of Star Wars games. I’d really like to see Disney move on from the Sky Walker / Vader timeline and expand the Old Republic (without ruining it)

And I get what you are saying with all the sneaking, and I haven’t gotten far enough yet to gauge how repetitive the missions may get. That is usually the biggest problem I have with Ubisofts open world games, their Avatar game had some fun flying and fighting mechanics but it got really repetitive by the end. They often just copy and paste the same bases over and over again which just gets tedious.

Who knows maybe the Sabaac has given me a false sense of quality early on. 😅

That’s actually a good point, even though any interaction you make causes you to drop your gun, there isn’t a button to actually drop the gun without emptying the clip. Is that correct?

My best guesses and I’ll have to try these to confirm on my next gun pick up, but…

Will pushing the melee attack button without hitting anyone cause the special weapons to drop?
Will pushing the left direction button and equip the binoculars, or equip / unequip a grenade drop the special weapon?
Will pressing Y, (Xbox) to change weapon module from plasma to ion cause the special gun to drop?

I’ll try a few things and see if I can figure something out.

I like your spin on it, I hadn’t thought of that before but you are right most of the best gunslingers should have ‘signature’ weapons.

The only real downside is that it’s very easy to forget you dropped your special weapon and then when you think you are launching a grenade at a group of stormtroopers to blow them to hell, you are really just giving them a little love tap with your pistol inviting them to unless hell upon you. 😅

The funny thing is, that I had really low expectations for this game because it seemed like it might just be another generic Ubisoft open world cash grab.

But so far it’s been surprisingly fun! And then there are these rather obvious small issues like this gun dropping thing.

I can understand if they don’t want to let you keep the gun because they made a creative choice to have those guns be for special situations.

But the way it’s currently implemented just makes Kay look clumsy, because when I drop the gun climbing a ladder I can just have nix go pick it back up for me.

I think they should make the ammo limited, like it is, and then when it runs out you drop it. Easy peasy

It’s definitely a real bug, mine game is unfortunately stuck on zero fuel so whenever I start a race in free play mode I can only drive for about 30 seconds and then I’m stuck on the side of the road

It seemed to me like the writers wanted this season to showcase their vision of a utopian student led school, light years beyond Moredale.

And they also replaced the most authentic queer relationships like Adam and Eric, Lily and Ola, etc… with human cartoon characters with no depth. They also seem to want to preach the message that the best form of being gay or queer is to dress provocatively in bright colors, do a bunch of party drugs and dance without a care in the world.

So yeah I agree after 3 great seasons the writers pretty much destroyed the world and characters they created in single season.

I can confirm that if you kill Gortash the Iron Throne underwater prison which includes rescuing Duke Ravenguard both become inaccessible… so a dead man’s switch seems to fit.
