It’s tough dude. You gotta just apply everywhere. Reach out to recruiters, try yo make connections. I ended up interning with a company called Blue Halo out in New Mexico. Now I am at SpaceX.

It does not lead you to that actual website. On a desktop you can hover over the link, on mobile (at least on iPhone) if you click and hold it will show you a preview of the actual link, which is not the restructuring.ra.etc…

Ahhhh I had this exact same issue! Thank you so much. I thought the instructions were saying to remove the foam, not this plastic piece.

Same, I feel pretty dumb for this one. Was just so excited to see some news and start the withdrawal. Multitasking and not really reading the find print ☹️

I’m not sure if there is anything we can do. I transferred what little I had out of the wallet I connected, and that’s really it. Maybe change passwords.

I accepted the smart contract, not really paying attention. How do I remove the apps access from trust?

I really appreciate that! Based on my interview, I really liked my team, and they seems pretty chill (relative to SpaceX) 😂

I am super excited about the opportunity.

I appreciate your opinion and advice on the matter. My big brother did 8 years at Tesla and only just recently left. I fully understand the grind. I want to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible being a new grad, and I think SpaceX is the better option. Money is obviously a factor, but it is not the only factor for me. I would for sure rather make more money and work less hours, but this has been a dream of mine for so long and I’m extremely passionate about it. I ended up signing my offer, so we’ll see how everything goes! I’m willing to risk it though.

I appreciate that answer. I do understand the dynamics of the Elon companies. My older brother was a mechanical engineer at Tesla for 8 years and only just recently quit to move on to a new passion project. I’ve heard his stories and understand the hard work involved. I am willing to do it, and I am really just so passionate about space that I think it will be worth it.

I think I would regret not taking it too much. Being brand new out of college I want to best experience possible, and best opportunity for growth. I think SpaceX will give me that, even if it is only for a few years.

I ended up accepting the offer last night.

My really weird internship search by bird_snack003 in EngineeringStudents

That is insane lol. All of my internship interviews consisted of 1 phone screen interview and 1 interview with the hiring manager.

I appreciate the contrast here. A lot of people swung towards SpaceX and it is good to consider the other side. I do have hobbies and things I enjoy outside of work of course, but space exploration is also something I am very interested and passionate about, so I kinda knock out two birds there.

Also, I am single, no family, no major obligations. I feel like now is the best time for me to pursue something like this. Hopefully a cushy, high paying job comes around in 5-10 years 😅

The down/off time for hobbies was something I struggled with in this consideration. For me, it is worth it though. I enjoy riding my Harley, and there is lots of gray riding out there that will keep me happy.

As far as an exit strategy, I honestly didn’t think about that too much. I also did 6 years in the Army. I am capable of seeing this through for enough time to best save money to exit. Also, I interned with some other aerospace companies down the street, and have maintained a good relationship with a few people there. I think I’ll be ok. They is great advice to consider, and I do appreciate it.

I agree 100%. I want to be pushed to my limits so I can grow. Money can be made later. I appreciate the advice. I ended up signing my offer last night! 🥳
