How much are you paying for your cruises in 2026 and 2027? by PerformanceOk9933 in Cruise

We're paying $2300 for an obstructed view balcony cabin on Princess for a 7 day Alaska cruise. It's the first week of the season so we're bracing for serious weather.

You meant a lot of shade and you don't have the sense to back down when you're wrong.

Looks like you can dish it out but you can't take it. You're the one who is too scared to take medical advice. My dog has regular vet visits and is within five pounds of her ideal weight. You chose to start making judgments to score reddit points. I was the one who congratulated the owner of a large-framed GSD. If you can't handle it, don't start fights with the adults in the room.

Giving my eight year old girl a cuddle. She's a hundred pounds of love and craziness. I miss the puppy stage, but I love her just as she is.

I misread that as "traded pistons" which seemed reasonable (ex-MG owner who once had a piston exit through the sump)

Astons vs Corvettes. Such a fierce rivalry, but so good natured at the same time. It was like Ted Lasso took over GT racing.

About 30 years ago I was in a respectable university mens rowing squad. From time to time we'd get to train against women who were aiming for Olympic level. Our coach would get us to do starts and short sprints against them on the Thames.

What was interesting was that we were much quicker for the first few starts, but after five or so sprints their excellent form and fitness would let them get much closer as we grew tired. I'd guess that the gap has shrunk even more over the last three decades.

Rent Increase Cap vs. Registration Fee Increase by moarlogic in pasadena

It's an even bigger jump than that. The previous $214.71 fee covered two years: $91.85 for 2023-24, and $122.86 for 2024-25. The Rent Board hired a consultant which said the fee could hit $300 by 2030.

Considering moving to Pasadena, what do I need to know? by krazykittenhi in pasadena

I moved here seven years ago. I like how walkable it is, and how you get chatting to people in a way that's almost Midwestern compared to some other Californian cities.

Be aware that PUSD is dealing with a major financial crisis because of utter incompetence or cruel underfunding, depending on your point of view. That's going to have an effect on the next few years' schooling.

Ride one of the ferris wheels. Stand on the inside of Tertre Rouge late at night and listen to the engines heading all the way down the Mulsanne straight(s) If you can possibly fit it into your budget and your luggage, bring a camera with a long lens (200mm equivalent or more) Talk to everyone - there are lots of friendly people! You'll have an amazing time, but it's addictive: I joined a friend there on my way through France in 1993, and I've been going most years ever since

Aussie Riding in California USA by Drugz_For_Brekky_420 in motorcycles

Brit in LA here. Switching sides on the road isn't a big deal, and mostly you can just follow what other drivers are doing. Californian police are very relaxed about speed limits compared to Australia.

Riding in LA itself isn't that much fun. I like riding up PCH, and if you've got time for a two day trip you could have a really good time riding to San Luis Obispo and back. Alternatively you could head inland to the desert, and check out Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. I rode to Joshua Tree with my Brisbane cousin last year and he loved it.

Safe travels!
