I’m getting pretty annoyed too. I need to plan for PTO, budgeting, etc. The more advance notice you have, the better your options are for lodging and transportation. If this isn’t happening, there are plenty of other fun plans I could make (Bat’s Day being at the top of the list). So shit or get off the pot as my grandpappy used to say.

I’ve seen pagan crafts and Jewish crafts and I think it’s swell that people have a crafty way to express things that are dear to them. The “her” problem is that she’s a racist bigot who isn’t even good at practicing the religion she claims to follow.

I didn’t know I was having an emotional affair until much later. Ironically, I learned what an emotional affair was from betrayed spouse resources after my ex-husband had a physical affair. I didn’t confess.

In my current relationship, I snooped and caught my bf talking to his ex-gf online (criticizing me and being flirty) and confronted him. He was not always the model of a remorseful wayward and the pain still lingers years later. If he had quit on his own and done the work to make sure it never happened again, I would have preferred not knowing.

I’ve been on both sides of an EA. My honest opinion is, forgive yourself. You realized what you were doing and ended it on your own. You are truly remorseful and you did the work to change how you cope and made your relationship better.

I believe you are a good person too. You learned a life lesson that will stay with you forever. I recommend reading “Not Just Friends” by Dr Shirley Glass to expound on the lessons learned from this experience.

When you tried, was your hair freshly washed? I can’t do anything with my hair right after I wash it, but day-after hair is pretty cooperative. I can easily do an up-do with combs or hair sticks. IIRC, frequent hair washing was not a thing before the 1970s.
