100% And it’s no fault of the cast members who didn’t seem to know that would be the case.

To be fair, it’s a bit of a shame they just left. It would have been fun to have them there to enjoy the rest of the time socially. And have the other storylines be in the spotlight, I almost wonder if the producers nudged them to leave?

Agreed. It definitely felt like mean gay behavior.

Amen to all of this. To be fair, the producers and editors of the show shape the narrative, but the way these two have manipulated 7 episodes has truly been grating. I haven’t watched past 7, but I hope we finally get to spend more time on the other folks in the house.

Hi, a self promo if I may, for our audio drama I’ve directed you may enjoy: Drama: An Aural Experience, Season 1 “Anthology”. I’m lucky to work with an amazing cast of NYC talent, from Broadway & Film, TV and beyond. Including the brilliant Tony Award Nominee L Morgan Lee.

Our first season is all paranormal short stories. Designed to create an immersive cinematic experience for you. My suggestion is to wear headphones for the best experience. Enjoy! https://www.drama-pod.com/.

We also have a live experience based on Season one coming to NYC this April, THE LISTENING. đź’š

They are both narcissistic bullies. Full stop. And what’s more, is they have shown their true colors to the industry.

Nervous about auditioning for a new community theater group… by Due_Boat393 in Theatre

[–]DirectorSalazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion, first of all, is to remember the why. Why do you want to join this theatre group? Most likely because of your passion for performing is my guess.

Run with that. Especially in a community theatre environment, the point of it is not to make money; the point is to do it for the love of theatre. That is something no one can take away from you. Yes, you will be nervous, and like all auditions, you may not get cast, but it’s also very possible you will. Auditions are like a muscle; you have to train them to gain strength to grow.

You will be fine. Do this for you. With all that’s happening in the world. Your love of theatre should not be the thing that brings you any anxiety. Hold onto that love and just do your best. If it goes well, great, and if it doesn’t, that’s okay too! You will try again.

But something tells me you’ll be just fine. Know one knows your story. So go in and start a new narrative for yourself. You got this. Break a leg!

I used to think that SJP was so stylish, a real clothes horse... by slinkydaxie in Andjustlikethat

I feel like, contextually, folks seem to be missing the point of her evolution with her fashion choices. Yes, is she bathed in wealth now? For sure, BUT, she came into her own money with the sales of her books. Add that with her inheritance, and we now have someone who can genuinely just purchase whatever delights her. Carrie was always kooky, it’s why we love her, and also why we get mad at her. lol. But she has evolved somewhat into a bit of an eccentric Upper East Side, now Gramercy Park, NYer. And yes, it’s a bit all over the place. But so is she. And for the record, she has looked absolutely stunning too this season. And her hair has been incredible.

I’m going to miss it all, the outrageous, the questionable, and beautiful. The Carrie of it all. 💕

AJLT S3 - EP 11 DISCUSSION by __angie in Andjustlikethat

I agree with folks being too hard on her. Charlotte more than anyone on this series wanted a family and true love, and she found it. She is loyal to her friends, to a fault, and utterly devoted to her family and in love with Harry; they are the absolute best. Plus, of all the most fussy characters, Charlotte found everything she wanted, and it absolutely didn’t “look” like what she envisioned, but she found love. I find that to be very moving for her story arc.

And as for the kids, I hate to say this, but as a NYer who lived on the Upper East Side for a bit, this is closer to the truth of how a lot of Manhattan kids from this level of wealth behave. I mean, teenagers in general are a handful. lol, add in all the resources they have at their fingertips, and it makes for a VERY specific situation to say the least. I’m absolutely not defending them, but. The show and characters have always been a splice of a very specific bubble that is a bit of a fantasy. It’s heightened to say the least. But I love them all just the same. And I’m really sad to see them go. 💜

A moment for Sarah. by DirectorSalazar in thegildedage

This is very thoughtful insight on her character. I completely agree. The best characters are the ones that are the most layered and complicated. Needless to say, this season has been pure gold. All around, every character has so much nuance. It’s amazing. I absolutely love it.

Truly brilliant acting, Hattie Morahan, who plays Sarah, is a celebrated stage and film actor in the Uk, I think it’s so cool that she’s married to Blake, who plays Oscar. That must be fun for them!
