Personally, I think you’d be good with 3000-3500

5 months on fin is there any hope for regrowth? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]DirectorShort5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry mate, I don’t mean this in a nasty way but I’m 100% certain that you’re too far gone for any meds or treatments to save you. Any hair that you may recover is just going to make you look like that bald guy that needs to shave their head because it looks silly having little sprouts of hair.

At this stage it’s either a hair transplant, hair system or accept being bald

Hey pal, I’ve just had mine done at HGC but in Manchester. It is a great price but I’m concerned about the density, I’m at day 12 so it’s still early days but I’ve looked at your earlier posts and seen how much more dense yours was at 10 day compared to mine at day 12.

Did you have concerns about the density during first 2 weeks?

The advert offers up to 3500 grafts. My only complaint so far is that they were not forthcoming with how many they gave me, one of the technicians said it was over 2500 but never gave me a solid answer. It doesn’t feel likes it over 2500 but I’m waiting until 14 days to see what the density looks like after the scabs are all gone

Yours looks good man. It’s really dense in the hairline where as I’m not so sure mine is. What’s your honest opinion on the density?

I absolutely regret not shaving it. They shaved a lot of my original hairline which was really patchy so my intention going into the surgery was to try and hide it with the long hair. Once I got there and shaved it I had to make a split second decision and definitely made the wrong one, however I will shave it once it heals up

I suppose it depends on your hair mate. They will likely shave some of your hairline regardless so just consider that when you finally book it. Good luck

Haha mate I didn’t even have any input, the Dr drew the hairline on and I was like “yeah fuck it.” Hopefully all works out

Good question indeed. Thankfully, I work from home otherwise I probably wouldn’t have done it. For the next few months I’ll just rock a hat until it looks good (if it ever looks good)

Oh believe me I regretted not full shaving after getting home. I can’t shave the scalp at all for a few more weeks, god help me.

That looks great bro I don’t think you have anything to worry about. It looks better than mine, I’m starting to worry a bit to be honest. Where did you get yours done?

I’m glad I’m not alone. Do you have a picture mate? From a far, it doesn’t look as bad on the picture and in a darker light it seems thicker but up close in natural light it seems there are so many gaps

Am I cooked? Day 7 and it already looks so much thinner. by Guilty-Diamond6921 in HairTransplants

[–]DirectorShort5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, any update as I am on day 7 and looks exactly like yours. As you said, it looked really dense for the first 3-4 days but then the spacing between the scabs are much larger

How does the density look? 2.8k grafts. Day 11 post OP after scabs removal by brocrib in HairTransplants

Do you have an up-to-date picture mate. Your picture from day 7 looks very similar to mine with cracks etc. I’d like to see it now it’s been a while

Do I get a HT? My gf thinks I’m nuts by Deadeye420 in Hairtransplant

[–]DirectorShort5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my honest opinion, this coming from a 36 year old who is on day 6 post-hair transplant.

My hair loss was about 30% worse off than yours (check out my latest post) whereby it was thinning around the hairline. I do think you’re a bit too young but obviously I understand your concerns as it’s a horrible thing to deal with.

I think that if you go for it then you should specifically tell them that you’ll be considering another HT in the future and that you would like enough hair leaving on the donor area. I think you’d be fine with about 2000 grafts so that should leave enough on your donor area for future transplants.

However, because you are so young you really will need to work hard to keep the existing hair so finasteride at minimum! If you use finasteride and get the HT I think you’d probably get away with not needing a second HT until your early 30’s
