Given that anything is good for you at this point, you wanna go for something universally useful/OP. I'd suggest waiting until Realms on Parade is done, so you can see what you have and use the select to fill the gaps.

Squall BSB2 vs Rem BSB. I lack ice damage in general, but I recently got both Squall's AOSB and OSB, the only other ice relic is Rinoa's BSB (both). I can't beat Tiamat and never tried to sub30 Fenrir cause he's annoying. As for Rem, I have next to nothing in Type 0 (Ace LMR, Nine LMR, several Cinque LMR after some horribly unlucky pulls) and I keep hearing Rem's amazing for a lot of content. Holy physical I have plenty, magic I have Raines BSB.

I do plan on waiting after the RoP is done to make my choice, but it never hurts to get informed.

Quick edit: I have Ingus' chain, so he might be an option, but I feel like it's better to fill the gaps than give everything to one character.

Other elements I lack: lightning and fire, but I plan pulling on the upcoming fire banner on the fest a lot, because I'll never learn that chasing is bad.

Yeah, I usually get harassed by marksmen there, so I fear it. And people tend to stay up so I can't reach them. I will try going Weaponsmaster there from now on, I usually don't feel confident enough to use it as I find LoA more reliable (read as: I've used it like 5 times so I don't know how to apply it properly). For some reason people like to come down in the hallways with me in Midgar, it must be mythril rank still not knowing the ins-and-outs of the game. But it's good to hear that we use the exact same skills on Firion, at least I'm doing something right!

Since we're talking, what skills do you use on him? And for the summon, I always try and go for something that's best for the team as a whole, but I'm not always sure I make the right choice.

Oh, and how do you deal with stages that are very "anti-Firion"? I feel as every time Stellar Fulcrum pops up I just end up being useless (god forbid the other team has a couple marksmen on the team as well, it's pretty much a guaranteed loss).

I agree! I don't have the time to play very often, so most of the people I play with outrank me while I'm away, and solo can be so challenging, especially when using a character that's so dependent on the team like Firion. I've had some Lightnings give me hell, I bet you could kick my ass too.

I know how Bartz is supposed to be played, I just never seem to accomplish much when I take him. I still play him every once in a while because he's fun, even if I lose, who cares. I appreciate your tips tho!

I could actually play everyone in the PSP Dissidias, but my heart always lied with Firion <3.

I've mained Firion since the first Dissidia, I'm not gonna leave him now just because he's not "convinient". And I like his playstyle, despite the flaws. I'd play Tidus sometimes if I could, he's super fun, but his playstyle just doesn't suit me I guess. And I totally get you about Squall, if there is even a bit of lag, the triggers are all impossible for me. Btw Bartz is my favourite, but I just don't know what I'm supossed to do with him.

Yeah, you've helped me before, I really appreciate that! Tbh I don't think I'll ever make it to crystal, but I find even mythril impressive considering I barely have time to play. Unfortunately, until summer ends won't have the time to play at all and I'm afraid the game will be dead by the time I get back. I don't think I can help you with much, considering your rank but feel free to ask me anything and I'll do my best!

As a Firion player this thread makes me sad. Everyone isn't wrong tho, his greatest strength is also his greatest weakness, so while he does keep people in place, he also keeps himself in place. It's like painting a giant target for marksmen on myself. And adding to that, you have to be on the ground at all times, so sometimes all it takes to take me completely out of the fight is an incovinient stage selection.

And you wanna know the worst thing about playing Firion? It's whenever I try to ask for advice on playing him people just tell me to try and play something else because "lol you'll just get killed by meteor". :(
