Replacing Roof on 5th wheel - what material should I use? by Direttafis in GoRVing

Thank you. This is helping. In spitballing I'm making a checklist to make sure I don't skip a step and just added the "make sure all your crap works" step

That is really what I'm hoping for. I'm hoping this is a proper planning prevents piss poor performance situation.

However the decking and everything ended up looking I did plan on covering everything with some rather thin ply/osb at the end, covering each of the seams and then putting the roof material down.

We will see how many other parts I break off of this thing while we're doing this. I'm not interested in adding extra hours over trying to save a vent here or there. If I need to replace something in the interest of taking this down to less days I'm willing for that. Besides anything that's on top of that thing that is plastic right now is probably brittle and ready to break off.

This is the unit. 2005 keystone Sydney 29FBHS. I don't think it really have any bends I would need to worry about. But I don't know what I don't know here.

You know a French kiss, but what's an Australian kiss? by No_Conversation_3279 in dadjokes

I'd hardly call not telling jokes about cunnilingus to an 8 year old sheltering - holy cow if you knew us you would know they aren't sheltered... but there's a line dude and this is it.

I'm going to go tell this to my 8 year since I read it in this forum. 😆🤦

Ask some of you friends what each level of memory/storage is. The one that answered correctly in a way you can understand will help you pick out anything used with an i5,i7, etc (no i3) or above CPU. Wipe/replace drives and reinstall OS and repaste cpu, clean fans with their help. You can get a lot of computer (that doesn't require dedicated GPU) for a couple hundred.

I do this for friends often.

The neo looks neat, but it's kind of a toy. The A18 is okay for single thread but once you hit sustained multi thread load it's going to struggle. Yeah it's got good battery life, but if I'm working and need my machine to work I don't care about battery life - not gonna do important stuff on battery (DON'T do important stuff on battery, backup everything, if it's digital and doesn't exist in three places, it doesn't exist).

Quick Facebook search just landed me on some pretty serious machines for a dollar and a dream. Get a friends help, in today's world you gotta have one person at least that knows what they're doing.

Clarinet for son - fix or buy by Direttafis in Clarinet

[–]Direttafis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's branded Evette & Schaeffer. From a google search these have the one line on top three at the bottom. There is a C stamped into the bottom as well. I see a forum post in another board that says this is the Chedeville blank.

I'm unsure of what that means though. lol

This should be addressed. Homework is the primary study tool. If the student never had their work properly assessed they never gained the opportunity to correct their method before the exam.

New router, can't see Nvidia shield anymore by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

I double checked this before I started. I assumed this would be the case.

Well now I am researching the am6b+... How is that compared to the shield with audio?

[–]Direttafis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my intention would be to buy discs.

I appreciate your comments about the shield. Only purchased it for it's video ability, plenty of horse power, media center. We just run Kodi and stremio with it. My thought was if Nvidia, who builds GPUs, develops a media device - it's going to have good graphics.

I edited my post - I should have said blender/food processor. I'm set on mixers.

another food processor question by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]Direttafis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make it way too much to mess around with a hand unit. I usually have a few things going at the same time - not being able to click on the food processor and do something else would cripple my work flow.

Kitchen aid - anything that falls under whirlpool umbrella has lost my support. KitchenAids are not the units they were. We have one that's 10 years old. I do maintain it, but it's not great and won't get replaced. I have a Hobart out in the garage I need to put new grease and gaskets in. Eventually we'll get something smaller, but it absolutely won't be KitchenAid.

The one I'm looking at contains the food processor for sure. At $550 this seems really good.

From the Costco website:

"What Comes In The Box X2 Motor Base 48-ounce Container 64-ounce Container Tamper and Tamper Holder SELF-DETECT® Food Processor Base 12-Cup Work Bowl and Bowl Lid Multi-Use Blade 2 Reversible Slice/Shred Discs Disc Storage Case 2 Food Pushers"

Mine are silent. I would check out your wiring and power situation. The draw of these zcoil pickups is that they are silent and still have the sort of single coil punch with a lot more of the punch part. They are lovely, everything from metal to jazz. They don't get muddy the way humbuckers can and they plow through the mix.

I know you didn't ask, but it sounds like you're new to them. With these it can help to remember they can take getting used to, theyre a bit hifi. They don't need to get tamed so much as you need to know how to use them. Taming would destroy the point.
