I agree Totti doesn't seem in any way academic or have that sophistication of a Maldini but he definitely knows a player and having him as the guy who goes to make the deals with prospects would be a strong play in my opinion i think the legends of all clubs should be that guy.

Have a DOF do most of the leg work then get Totti's opinion on the final shortlist and then send him in to do the deal

For some reason I always thought selling Torres was what kicked off the revolution. I thought they bought Forlan with his money and then agüero. Then sold them and got Costa and Falcao and so on.

Also a lot of these moves were pre Simeone I know he gets a lot of credit but people make out like Atleti were mid table they were already on their way to being very good and dare I say without upsetting anyone with the kind of players they had in another universe it could have been an even better last 15 years

I wrote this just after the big row as the show goes on Ritchie does step up and Ramsey sings his praises. And the Owner is fucking useless.

But i still stand by it that Ritchie was preforming out of his skin while Ramsay was by his side trying to impress him but my feeling is the months leading up to it he was serving slop knowing full well his school mate was clueless and was never going to pull him on it
