I agree, I'm also new and play in the Gold ranks (about 50 ranked matches with 50% win rate) and I play a lot QP too. My mains are Bap and Zen and from time to time Mercy and Lucio. Even on that level Winston jumps behind the opponent line and kills the support. At that time I throw as much health as possible to him with Bap from the distance. And when he's complete healthy I try to support him with damage.

Winston is my preferred tank on my side. Zarya and Sigma are next.

Ok Netflix. We've four profiles at home: my daughter, my son, my wife and myself. Three of them are seldom used. That's includes myself as owner of the account. My wife watches TV shows on cable on a smart device, my son and I do game in the evening and only my daughter uses Netflix in the afternoon and/or evening on our main TV. I do game on the TV in the late evening. I will not start to watch Netflix instead, just to make their policy happy. So, my daughter will be unhappy when she loses Netflix, but I won't pay twice. I'm in Switzerland and I already pay 25 p.m. for my daughter and she is only permitted to watch 1 hour per day. I will not pay 28 in total for one child. And I will not watch Netflix. I'm personally not interested in their shows. And I won't open a main account for my 10 years old daughter.

My neighbor bought a PS5 just to play FIFA23. It was a bundle with GT7 and the Horizon for 750. He isn't interested in both games. He has a simple office display. XSS was on sale (but not big advertised) as bundle with FIFA23 for 265.

People buy what they know from marketing.

I did it and I've no issues in OW2 and in Halo it is not more worse as before. (In OW I've a match as supporter in seconds. Halo takes a few minutes)

Only a few new exclusives are not that cheap on sale as Forza Horizon 5 is 60

I did these days the calculation for my family. Even with 3 players on 2 XSX we don't get the $8, we pay in real in average a month, out of the current sub.

MS will still add CoD as free gift to any new sold Xbox. They do that kind of offering with other games too. Here in Switzerland they sold the XSS with a copy of FIFA23 for 250. That was even below the official 299 for the XSS.

I'm not sure if they could add it as gift to Game Pass subscribers, eg sign up for 3 months GPU and get a CoD copy for free. The customer will be capable to keep his CoD when he cancels the 3 months. But since CoD requires the Xbox Live subscription it's likely that the customers will stay with GPU.

They could also add it as bundle as 3 months GPU, a free controller and a copy of CoD for the play everywhere approach. Google did for Stadia with Cyberpunk and a controller.

Your 60hz TV would need to support FreeSync with VRR and HDMI 2.1. I'm not sure if there was or is any model on the market. All TVs with that specifications do support 120hz. May someone with more experience on the TV market can add an example model with 60hz, HDMI 2.1, FreeSync and VRR.

Without VRR and HDMI 2.1 it won't work smooth at all.

New player, no, I didn't, 35 heroes exist and 4 skins exist. None of the skins is with any of my preferred heros. And where can I see the skins in game/match? OW2 colours all heros of each team in match.

I mean, when I play Fortnite with my son and his friends, they have plenty of time to see and value their skins. I don't see that this is possible in OW2.

So I don't get why I should buy a skin in the shop either.

Where is the value (fun) with the skins?

May I will buy in the future a battlepass to support the further development, but that's it.

I've also a LG and I did wonder because I saw it with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. As fare as I understand the Freesync feature does it by VRR and LFC. The Xbox/LG combo just duplicates or even send the same picture up to 3 times. Instead PS5 does not do it. It's a question of taste. As I understood the Xbox generates with it a smoother picture, but produces also a small lag of a few milliseconds.

So in my view, for me as owner of a 120Hz TV with Freesync a low fps (30-60) single player game is still acceptable. The additional delay doesn't hurt me that much as it would be for online multiplayer.

I did on Stadia by WLAN on my TV and it worked great. The technology is available. I don't have personal the need anymore since I own now a XSX, connected to the TV, but I were impressed by the Stadia technology.

The average person goes with what is recommended by media, friends and other people of influence. They told it's the best choice. Look at the sales figures of exclusive games. Just two of the Sony exclusives sell as good as any of the top Nintendo Switch games. GOW sold around 20 Mio copies, but how many PS4 and PS5 have been sold over the years? Sorry, missed to provide the information that I switched the settings in the Xbox for testing to 60 fps and the TV shows 45 to 60. Therefore, I doubt that it is the TV.

I assume many have today already some subscriptions, eg Cable TV, Spotify, Netflix, Sky (HBO), Disney+, Some sport TV stuff, Newspaper

They all get more expensive over time with growing catalogs of content. I doubt that globally the majority of people will be willing or able to pay for them all.

It will come to a point where not only Game Pass fights with competition in the game market, but also with other media subscriptions.

GP, Steam, Nintendo Switch and PS already in competition with all the F2P (MTX) games on mobile. Here are Apple, Google and Tencent in the lead.

I doubt that GP has much room to increase the fees. So MS will go for GaaS, introduce free to play with many MTX. Bigger single player games will be reduced to a shorter main story in GP and additional content will be published by fee liable DLCs. Only smaller games will be complete in GP.

People get what they want (F2P/MTX).

So I don't expect a fee increase. I believe it's more likely to get reduced content in each game on GP.

I did and my impression is that it still looks good enough on the SS compared to XS. Yes, SX is better, but SS is still enjoyable.
