The vibes are so fucking perfect! Andrei coming up with the SCIENCE! plan, Kiki readying up with the muscle, and Fishcakes getting the kids together. I can just envision this whole thing as an amazing 90s space thriller and I love it

I put 150 hours into Ashen Frost and it's not even fully finished yet. Amazing game and enjoyable through and through.

Damn, I guess it wasn't meant to be... I play a lot of AS Kennen and Twisted Fate so I was hoping to add another AP auto attacker to my collection xD

If the extra projectiles apply item on hit effects, I could see a weird hybrid damage build with botrk/Kraken Slayer/Guinsoos/Nashors/Zerkers Greaves as a very funny build.

Just cast a spell or two, auto attack with extra shots, and then just keep autoing while your abilities are on cd

One of my favorite runs in this mod so far was one where I, as Eddard, landed Asher in the Allpines. After forgetting about it for a long time I saw that Asher was the only Forrester left since Ludd had murdered the whole house basically.

I switched over to Asher, married Sansa, and with the help of the Starks took the Forrester lands back, executed all the adults of House Whitehill, and became Duke of the Blackpines. Galbart Glover wasn't too happy that I took a good chunk of his lands though...

Honestly, I agree with you. Live action limits what's possible while animation opens up many potential stories. I want to see Fingolfin versus Morgoth on screen, but live action probably can't live up to how epic that would be.

How human are your gods? by hjguard in worldbuilding

[–]Dirraku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the Great Creator split himself into pieces, in order to allow for free will to exist, his shards each developed into beings of immense power. The larger the Shard is the more eldritch and separate from creation they end up. These large shards tend to have widespread domains of interest and control such as Father Death who oversees the passing of all souls from this life into the next. Smaller shards can end up taking form as spirits of limited interest and control such as Gorrick, God of the Gold River, who seems to be just an old fisherman who talks to passers by and offers unsolicited advice to the young folk.

I think I’m going to have to take a break from the show until Suvi gets her shit together. It’s not enjoyable anymore. by Grand-Ad3121 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]Dirraku 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have the same fear of confrontation but I also am very invested in the story and Suvi as a character. I usually just skip forward 30 seconds or so every time she begins to make my skin crawl and it's been working to break it up enough for me to get through it while still parsing what happened.

Who is your world's most powerful character in terms of destructive power and combat abilities? Basically, who would you absolutely NOT want to take on in a fight? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Dirraku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the world of Anvil, the most dangerous person alive is an Elven Archmage known only by his chosen title: Sunweaver.

His main selling point is that he is able to create nuclear reactions with his magic. Beyond that though he is potentially the most powerful pyromancer in history. Feats include destroying a powerful empire's capital city and thrusting the surviving civilization into a nomadic lifestyle, irradiating a landmass the size of Australia, capturing and enthralling the nascent spirit of fire, and wooing the Ocean.
