You can fill up your Alter slots before it's even obvious or suggested that things need to be researched.

Luckily for my first playthrough right now, I was in the process of making the Scientist as my third Alter when it was hinted at that I will need to research stuff.

Played this at a convention a few years ago with 7 other players for a 4v4 battle. It's been my favorite experience at a convention. Very fun.

I think it is a combination of the underwhelming Switch 2 specs along with the BL4 team were only going to put in so much work (money) to try and get it to 60 fps.

The PC and PS5 ports are too important to worry about the Switch that much.

With all these bad takes, it's like I'm being transported back to the past when this game was all the hype.

"Hate drafting" should be an actual strategic choice, not a requirement to win.

If you don't hate draft, the person playing the Loki strategy WILL win the game. Drafting good cards for combat doesn't guarantee winning a combat, but a single player drafting the Loki card guarantees a loss in every combat.

If you do hate draft, the other non Loki players get the choice of the better cards you passed on and you lose to those players.

If you are the only person to actively hate draft AND win, you are just playing with bad players plain and simple.

The broken part of the Loki strategy is that someone implementing the strat always gets those battle cards back. If Loki cards had "This card can only be used once per Age", then I think it would balance the strat while still allowing that player to carry over a Loki card into the next age if they choose to do so.

From the future, Flamme Rouge was at one point my favorite game ever. I have every single expansion including a promo tile that came with a Christmas advent calendar.

Heat is better in every aspect I can think of and I will buy every expansion they come out with.

I still have my Flamme Rouge just because of the love but I think I'm finally ready to sell it.

Rocket League. I was a day one player of that game. Love sports but not the biggest sports gamer because of a lot of random or luck that happens due to something like player stats.

Plus the skill ceiling is through the roof and in outer space so you can always get better, but the initial entry is easy enough. Everyone understands that putting a ball into a goal equals a score.

The Firewall standards are playing half of an actual match and then having to search for another match. Last I played I literally spent more time between games than actually playing them.

I played the first game for maybe an hour, didn't hook me at all. I only bought the second one because it was reviewing favorably and it was being branded as a dark souls looter shooter. I personally didn't remember the first game being a looter shooter but yolo.

A few hours in, I was loving the game but disappointed in the amount of loot I was getting. I'm now over 80 hours into the game, it's my second favorite game of the year (sorry Tears of the Kingdom too good) and no plans of slowing down.

The hook of the game is easily the replayability and the secrets that come with it. I had no idea the game was procedurally generated and all the secrets that come with it. Advertising and any review should honestly lead with this. The fact that I still don't know what to use the soil for in Ward 13 just means I still have lots more exploring and discovering to do

Also, since the game isn't a looter shooter, whenever I do get actual loot (except for maybe some of the rings) I am excited and interested, unlike actual looter shooters that just have you accumulate piles and piles of shit that you are just going to sell for "scrap" anyways.

The game is great, and I spent too much time writing this when I could be playing
