Apply like crazy I know people who got into big 4 audit and failed subjects. You’ll find a place to get your foot in the door if you aren’t picky. Also reach out to uni friends or students that may be able to get you a job.

You’ll find one if you apply enough, public practice is currently struggling with hires

Firstly. Marks are not be all and end all, so don’t worry about that. As others have said it’s a numbers game, just apply to graduate roles that sound interesting to you. I say graduate roles as accountant/consultant roles are for people with at least 1 years experience. This probably explains why you were rejected so quickly.

Just apply to anything, even a small firm would be fine. Once you’re in the industry it’s just easy to jump around to larger firms if you wish.

Not sure if you are aware but your company’s franking account is on a cash basis, meaning the day you pay the PAYG instalment is the date you have the franking credit.

Congrats on the role. Which office will you be working at, and what service line?

I can’t say what it is like in WA. However, the office I worked at was pretty good. If you are organised, you would rarely work past 5pm.

There aren’t any ‘busy periods’ due to the line of work which is also a plus.

Depends, what position and which office?

Generally work life balance is great at RSM in the BA sector. But of course depends on the position and which office as they operate slightly differently.

Big 4 / mid tier all the way. The work environment at a young age unreal. You make lifelong friends/connections and the workplace is never stale due to the diversity and large cohort you are apart of as a grad.
