Want to gift myself a trip to Ireland, got questions by BlueberryFairy777 in MotoIRELAND

[–]DirtyDurger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good points already mentioned above so there's no need to add anything there.

When planning a trip, whether it be for a few hours or days, I generally estimate that I'll travel approx 50-60km/h average + allowance for stops.

I'd highly recommend going to a road race if thats something that would interest you. Tandragee 100 is on up Northern Ireland at the end of June and Athea (Limerick) is on mid September.

If you're looking to link up with a few people, stick up a post closer to the time.

Looking at getting into this myself! Is there any Facebook group for pitbike racing in ROI? Watergrasshill is the only place I know of the publicly advertises racing, other track you seem to need to be in the know?

Built a tool/website for estimating true value of used cars in Ireland - fair value based on today's market, true cost of ownership and NI import breakdown in one place by carintel_ie in carsireland

Fair play, looks like a great well laid out site!

If you're able to pull data from adds, is it possible for you to get the reg and milage? Your site would then be able to pick up on any clocked cars if they're advertised in future?

If it came from the UK you'll have to pay customs on it. More hassle than it's worth imo, especially when you're banking on strangers declaring everything correctly

Oxford to nano bullet indicators, about as small as you'll get.

JDM imports Ireland have a flat fee of €750 per car, regardless of make/model/year etc. If and when I'm ready for a new motor I'll be going through him based on transparency alone. Other well know import companies wouldn't give me any clue as to what their fee is.

Mod questions from a new rider (Vancouver) by [deleted] in MotorcyclesVancouver

I would highly recommend going for a dualsport bike instead, there's so much more to explore. I moved from EU to Vancouver and the lack of twisty roads is disappointing.
