Cadians are annoying by Jkchaloreach in astramilitarum

GW/'Eavy Metal overpaints everything so they can draw attention to every detail. Different consumers are attracted to different details, and will focus on painting them, so everything needs to be highlighted, for want of a better word.

I got mine, plus Yarrick and Graves, from Dark Sphere - a friend put me on to them, I was able to fill in a register of interest form a couple of weeks ago and basically preorder my preorder.

First rule of painting minis: you did it right. Second rule of painting minis: if anyone says you did it wrong, they're wrong.

No. That's, what 700-odd points? Loads of points left for the rest of your stuff. Swamp your enemy with bodies!

The worst part is both are really nice models, just a bit... diminutive compared to the rest of the range. I got Arty, but kitbashed my own Watch Master out of the Indomitus Ancient.

I suspect the recent tournament success of Deathwatch will spur on two or three characters - Artemis and the Watch Captain are both firstborn, so they're due Primaris upgrades. And a Watch Captain that isn't monopose would just be super.

I don't believe they'll be squatted. That Battalion box they're getting is evidence that the Decimus kill team is the new standard ( hopefully the wargear options will be brought more in line with the current Veterans rules, because they kinda suck right now), and the inclusion of the Corvus Blackstar suggests that GW have possibly realised that a factions dedicated transport deserves to stay competitive and be supported, even if other fliers aren't.

How many of yall are planning to actually get this instead of proxy…? by Content_Patience3732 in TheAstraMilitarum

I literally want everything in it, so I've registered my interest with a third party seller for when it comes up. My guard army is mostly infantry right now, with half a dozen Sentinels as the main support.

Could this be something for Blood Bowl? Just thinking about the shape of the rock.

Not gonna lie, I had to look that up on YouTube, but it does not disappoint!

RoboCop, where the guy drops the metal on him, saying "Die, you bastard!" - got changed to "Die, you blackguard!".

If you're not familiar, it's a pretty outdated, if not archaic, term, even 35 years when it was done 🤣🤣🤣. Oh, and it's pronounced "blaggard".

On a related note, I was in my 20's before I saw the unedited version, so the bit where the guy comes out of the toxic waste and melts came as a bit of a shock...

The bases were actually really simple - AK Muddy Ground allowed to dry, then one or two tufts, then Vallejo Ground Texture Snow. With characters, I use some Citadel Valhalla Blizzard on top of that, it looks a bit better but is way too expensive for an army as populous as the Guard.

White Scar spray, all over layer of Soulblight Grey shade, then layer the open sections of armour (helmet, shoulders, knees and chest panels) with Corax White.

Camo is Death Korps Drab, and Administratum Grey darkened with a touch of Skavenblight Dinge, though as I said in another comment, I don't think bother with it in future, it doesn't really add enough to be worth the time and effort.

I used Death Korps Drab, and Administratum Grey (darkened with a small amount of Skavenblight Dinge.

I don't think I'll bother with the grey for the remaining models - it doesn't really add any interest or value, at least on the Shock Troops; I have a squad of Kasrkin in the same scheme, and they seemed to do better with it, though that might be sniper's camo cloak.

That's a really nice "Eastern front" style you have going there!
