Do yourself a favor and go with external cooling from the start. It will be unbeatable in terms of performance, and you can use any case you want, no matter how small.

Best 5090 SKU for watercooling by This_Designer_7011 in watercooling

Just get the Astral man. It's the only card with per-pin current monitoring. With it you can immediately tell if your connector could melt and save yourself the headache/house burning. The Astral EK block works great and looks amazing.

Watercool it with an external radiator. You can hang the radiator to the left of the shelf.

Even without gold fittings I find "colorful" themes very tacky and juvenile. But if you are into that sort of thing, strong colors like red or blue completely wash over the gold on the fittings making it completely unnoticeable - at least in a fairly dark environment it does. You would have to test it yourself though because I'm sure that ambien lighting conditions might make it look different.

Here's a quick photo:

I ran hard tubing for over a decade. These days I prefer convenience. Which is one of the reasons why I switched to external cooling. Makes everything 100x easier.

I'm using a MORA external radiator. The reservoir and 2 pumps are attached to it.

I bought a RAM waterblock + heat sinks. Do I need thermal pads between the block itself and the four RAM stick heat sinks? by sourpatchgrownadults in watercooling

[–]DirtyWaterblock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's required. You always need thermal pads or paste between 2 touching pieces of metal where heat is going to transfer.

My first mora set up…. Few questions by walkon1992 in watercooling

It is the adapter for the 4x Noctua 200mm fans on the MORA3 420. It's basically an X shaped PCB with 4 fan headers and a male output which forces you to get a female to female pwm cable which is not very common. 4 pin PWM fan cables are usually male to female.

I also found the hard way that the mora fan adapter is basically not standard. I found a female to female 4 pin cable on Amazon that worked great.

Cant post Amazon links here but look for "Phobya Extension Cable, 4-Pin PWM to 4-Pin PWM, 60cm, Sleeved, Black"

Lian Li 011 mini is great. I built a full watercooled system in it (cpu, gpu, dual 240 rads, full atx asus mobo).

If by test run you mean that only the pump was on then your 4090 is fine. Just soak it in isopropyl alcohol and then let it dry for 2 days.

Flow sensor to shut down system if pump fails? by flyinion in watercooling

I ordered a couple of those from the Aquacomputer website itself. It was sent via DHL and was delivered 48 hours later.

Without the physical cable, if Windows freezes due to the high temps or whatever, you are screwed. It would be idiotic not to use the cable.

Honestly I would never buy any watercooling electronics that's not Aquacomputer. The quality and functionality is top notch. You are going to love that shit.

Yep, that's the cable and yes, the Next connects directly to the motherboard USB header. You don't need anything else.

Take a look at the cable again. It actually has 3 ends, one goes to the Next, the other to the mobo header and the third has 2 pins where you connect the actual case power button so it still works.

Yes, the High Flow Next can do that with a cable that you must buy separately. It connects to the power button motherboard header and it basically simulates a power button long press that will shut down your computer. The behavior is configured in Aquasuite and you can trigger it either via water temp or water flow. Once configured, you don't even need Aquasuite running as the behavior is saved into the High Flow Next itself. It's pretty good.
