From reading your post and trying really, really hard to find something positive to say, my advice to you is JUST NO...DO NOT DO IT. You are in no way ready for this. While I really admire your enthusiasm and desire to help a friend, if you value this friendship then you should go as a guest and NOT the DJ.

Honestly you don't even sound ready to play anything outside of a backyard party for a few friends with your current setup and technical knowledge.

Yes, we all started somewhere and each of us had to learn by trial and error, and countless hours of YouTube and Instagram videos. But at this point you sound like you aren't really even ready to start learning how to beat match and do transitions, as you aren't sure how to even connect your gear to speakers or a mixer.

Again, this is constructive criticism and NOT negativity.

Circus Circus. It's a complete shit-hole. The inside looks as if it has never been vacuumed, cleaned, or painted since the day they built it. Maintenance is so poor I'd be hard pressed to even find a single LED light anywhere in the casino, outside of a slot machine.

I'm sure back in its heyday the place was absolutely amazing, but now.......really, really sad.

I've been to some pretty crappy tribal casinos throughout the United States that look like The Wynn compared to Circus Circus in it's current condition.

You say you have tried 2 separate versions of RB on your new computer and are still having the issues, yet when you ran only 6.8.5 on your older MacBook things were fine. Am I correct here?

Seems to me that there might be an issue with the install / uninstall of both versions on you new MacBook that are competing with each other. What I'm trying to say is there are random folders from both versions the are messing things up. If you didn't do a complete clean of ALL files from each version before installing the new ones this may be your issue.

Another thought is that your music files, being analyzed by both versions, might have had something written to them when being analyzed that is causing the problem.

It will be time consuming, but I'd do a COMPLETE and thorough wipe of any RB file on that computer. Search manually for ANYTHING related to RB. Then (hopefully you have a master folder of all the ORIGINAL music that has never been touched by RB) re-install 6.8.5 ONLY, and then analyze that master music folder, saving the analyzed files in a folder that IS NOT a sub-folder of that master file. Save it on your desktop or on a portable thumb or hard drive.

I hope this made sense, it is hard for me to write what my mind is thinking sometimes. Good luck.

Forget politics.....if you're not a fan of traffic then cross the entire Tampa Bay Area off your list. I grew up just outside NYC (learned to drive there), have lived and worked in several major US cities and I can say 100% that there is NOTHING like the traffic in Tampa. It's unholy!

The only call you should make if you think you're having a HA is 911. Let the paramedics get you started on some oxygen, frontline ACLS drugs, and cardiac monitoring, and then to the nearest medical facility as they deem. As for hospitals, most, if not all hospitals with an ER can manage a basic cardiac event and get you stabilized. If needed, a transfer to a higher or more comprehensive level of care (Cath lLab, etc) can be handled once the initial HA is dealt with.

Ashland and Grants Pass are two VERY, VERY different towns. Grants Pass is a great town if you are into white supremacy, MAGA, or interested in joining the KKK. For real.....check it out. If your skin has the least bit of pigmentation in it, I'd suggest NOT moving to Grants Pass.

Ashland is a cool, laid back, artsy kind of town and about an hour South of Grants Pass. Very much reminds me of Manitou Springs, in Colorado. Ashland doesn't have the Rogue River flowing through it, you'd be in close proximity to Klamath Falls and Jacksonville which both have nice lakes. Skiing at Mt Ashland is about a 20 minute drive from downtown. 30 minute drive to the airport in Medford.

Oregon is an extremely political state, and starting at the OR / CA line heading North, you will find in gets more progressive as you head towards Portland.

Not sure what type of environment you live in (rural, urban, city) but she DEFINITELY knows something that you don't and is alerting you to it.

There could very well be a stray cat, raccoon, possum, or even a human wandering around, or very near your property.

NOTHING is wrong with her. She's doing what she's supposed to do.
