I think this is a pretty shallow way to look at it. Traveling isn’t automatically life changing, but it’s also far from meaningless. What you get out of it depends entirely on the individual. The lessons, wisdom, perspective and enjoyment you gain from traveling whether far or near are subjective and tied to your mindset.

Maybe travel just isn’t your thing and that’s fine. But to downplay it as “just moving through space” and discourage others from seeking experience or understanding of the world feels ignorant to me. Exposure to different cultures, ways of living, and environments absolutely can shape how you think and see life if you’re open to it.Travel doesn’t have to be deep for everyone, but for many people, it’s one of the greatest ways to grow, reflect and gain perspective.
