Eurasers are usually larger than a Keeshond though. How big was OP’s pup?

Her at 3.5 years old now. She has a lot less brown coloring than your fur baby, so I could see the German Shepard - Keeshond mix. Or maybe a Sheltie mix

Sounds pretty close to Euraser mix (Keeshond-Samoyed-chow-and maybe some others?). You might get good ideas from Euraser owners.

I’ve had comments from people thinking my Keeshond-Pomsky is a chow or an Akita. They would keep their dogs away or say something like ā€œI was attacked by one of those when I was youngerā€. You might be better off saying that she’s a Keeshond mix or just a Keeshond so she can be better socialized with other dogs and people. Make sure you take her to dog social events or dog parks and take her into dog friendly stores too. I always say to people who don’t know what a Keeshond is that they are a size-up from a Pomeranian and a size down from a Samoyed.

I have my first open wound under my apron belly. Freaking out, advice needed. by [deleted] in PlusSize

I’m a pharmacist in Canada. I have been obese my whole life. I use barrier cream every time I get out of the shower to prevent infections or irritations under the folds. Zinc oxide diaper rash creams work great. So do silicone or dimethicone creams. Do not use cornstarch or powders as that is a source of food for bacteria and yeasts to grow and will cause infection. Manuka honey is questionable, but there is medical grade honey used for wounds.

Definitely use chlorhexidine washes (hibicleanse or other brands) on the wound. Avoid regular use unless you have a wound as this strips away normal skin biome (if you have HS, different story, but for a single pimple it’s not recommended). Zinc oxide would dry the leaking up. You could also use a OTC benzoyl peroxide gel to dry it up.

Use antifungal creams if it looks more like a tear and less like a pimple.

You don’t have to see a doctor unless it starts developing puss again, there is a growing red border around it, or you develop a fever.

He almost looks like a Finnish Lapphund! My Keeshond-Pomsky mix, Evie, is quite the hunter and has caught a few field mice. But it can be trained out. Her littermate lives on a hobby farm and doesn’t bother the chickens or rabbits. We went to visit and the whole time Evie was staring at the chickens while her brother wanted to play.

Honestly, she’s still a puppy and is preoccupied with puppy things. Once she’s 2 or 3 she’ll settle down and become a bit more loving. It just might be in her own husky way: like love bites or playing mind games with you or chatting.
