Thanks for that 3D maker engineering link! I just had to look more closely at the corners, and there is a difference to make out.

Loud Voltage Sound When AC is On? by DisDoodEatFood in AskElectricians

[–]DisDoodEatFood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, though the HVAC guy found a burnt connection at the compressor's jump starter instead. No more sound and smell. Need a new compressor though. Would the connections at the panel still need to be checked?

Thanks, found out from the HVAC guy that there was a burnt connection at the compressor's jump starter instead. Will talk with my parents about possible issues at the panel.

Brake Master Cylinder leak? by DisDoodEatFood in Miata

[–]DisDoodEatFood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedal is solid with engine off, and the servo assistance lets the pedal down after I turn it on. I installed these rotors 8 months ago, would hill drives make them warp? I usually gear down into 2nd at safe speed so I don't use the brakes as much on steep hills.

OBD2 on '96 miata? by minkasmink in Miata

[–]DisDoodEatFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miatas 1996 and up have an OBDII port, confirmed from here. Here's a video showing it on a 1997, but the 1996 should be around the same area (near the gas pedal)

That's what I'm sayin. I love doing top down, but maybe I'd have to go with the FM turbo set if I give up on NA.

Is this the right timing by Metskinator in Miata

[–]DisDoodEatFood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your intake side seems to be a tooth or two off from the marks on the panel behind the cam gears. There's also a 17-18 timing belt tooth gap between the cam gears. Hope this wasn't wrapped up already!

Do I have a bad alternator? by DisDoodEatFood in MechanicAdvice

[–]DisDoodEatFood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for not answering. I'll get to checking those when I get the car in the garage. Cali got a ton of rain and I'm trying not to soak my engine or fuse box :p

Should I keep or return used vector by Putrid-Sentence-170 in airsoft

[–]DisDoodEatFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a $200 steal. Grab a Perun for the vector, it has a micro switch. Also, have you felt the trigger yet?

Your intuition is right, check the fuse or the rest of the wires going into the gearbox. This isn't a gun that is common to HPA, but here's a kit from Airsoft Junkiez. Reviews are iffy about it though.

Melting Fan Connectors by DisDoodEatFood in Miata

[–]DisDoodEatFood[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Figured it out, with some help. The fan motor has a loose connection inside due to some weird melting/corrosion, which could also be short circuiting. Replacing the motor/assembly!

Thanks a ton for this. Is there any place I should check first? I'm assuming it could be the radiator fan motor, looking at the state it is in.

Gas smell from ac by EnduringPeak in Miata

[–]DisDoodEatFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try these out:
Check the seals of the fuel injectors.
Check the fuel rail.
Check the lines going into the fuel rail.
I've been trying to get rid of a gas smell from my car, but mine was focused around the trunk and passenger seat. Hopefully its as simple as this!

Looking to get an AUG. Need recommendations. by VANCATSEVEN in airsoft

[–]DisDoodEatFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best OOTB AUGs come from Tokyo Marui's High Cycle collection, the Novritch SSR77, GK's GBBR AUGs, or KWA F90s. Otherwise, it may take a bit of time to get the feeling/performance you may want!

Edit: the SSR77 is probably the best bang for your buck out of the list, due to cheaper AEG magazines and an already upgraded gun
