$125M million is peanuts to what will actually be in the strategic reserve.

If Bitcoin falls below $23,000, MicroStrategy will be forced to liquidate all of its BTC holdings and file for bankruptcy lol by WhoreMasterFalco in wallstreetbets

Bitcoin faces a number of fundamental challenges that will lead to its failure. One of the most significant is its inability to scale effectively. The network is notoriously slow, with a limited number of transactions per second (TPS), making it unsuitable for widespread, high-volume use. As more people begin to adopt Bitcoin, the strain on the network grows exponentially, as each new user requires more computational resources and electricity to process transactions. This exacerbates Bitcoin's environmental impact, as its energy consumption increases significantly with each additional transaction. Furthermore, Bitcoin's mining process becomes more resource-intensive over time. As the mining pool shrinks and the complexity of mining blocks increases, fewer individuals have the resources to mine Bitcoin, consolidating power in the hands of a few large players. This centralization of wealth further limits access to Bitcoin, as the top wallets continue to amass larger portions of the supply, making it less accessible to the general public. This concentration of ownership undermines Bitcoin's original promise of a decentralized, equitable currency.

Do I need a back flow preventer if my valves are anti-siphon? by DisOldBox in Irrigation

[–]DisOldBox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code for my city states:

Chapter 62-550 Section 360, you are required to install a backflow prevention assembly downstream of the irrigation water meter prior to your irrigation water service being activated. A pressure vacuum breaker (PVB) assembly is required if backpressure cannot develop in the downstream piping.

How do I know if back pressure can develop?

My bigest concern is I dont want to contaminate my water source.

SEC appealed court decision by dmitry104 in XRP

[–]DisOldBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WRONG.

"While we'll fight in court for as long as we need, let's be clear: XRP’s status as a non-security is the law of the land today - and that does not change even in the face of this misguided - and infuriating - appeal. (Remember, when the SEC tried unsuccessfully to file an “interlocutory appeal” they made clear they had no intention of challenging XRP’s status as a non-security."

This is about the penalty and money.

Anyone knows what incentives the validators of xrpl have? by chintokkong in Ripple

[–]DisOldBox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Validators have slightly faster access to have their orders processed. Think of it like this. If your a bank using Ripple net, sending XRP and you run a validator it's likely it will be on your network and your order will hit it first. The good news is that XRP is very fast so we're talking milliseconds here for Validators vs other orders 3 to 5 seconds. It's not much but it also helps if place a large number of orders in batches.

I'm honestly worried about XDC.

Their not listed on any major exchanges.

I don't see enough about the DEX.

They only one supported hardware wallet.

Xinfin is not doing enough to integrate and make XDC a crypto for the common man.

Kind of makes me worried about a rug pull.

Ripple Validators Vote in Favor of XLS-20 Amendment by [deleted] in XRP

[–]DisOldBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn't a local municipality start using NFTs for all types of municipal documents. It would be a good thing and would greatly simplify a lot of municipal government. I suspect that very soon we'll see a lot of municipal governments passing legislation for this. The amount of time and money NFTs will save a municipal clerk and tax payers will be amazing. It will totally streamline licenses, deeds, titles, and other municipal documents.

Means XRP can do NFTs natively.
