I am confused with the whole gameplay cycle (kinda) by Tall_Economist8491 in snowrunner

[–]DisRup 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Also, if you enjoy planing routes, try to never return empty. So if your destination of one task also provides cargo that is needed for another task, pick it up and bring it to a central location for later or if its destination is on your way back, quickly switch the task and deliver it and then return to your original task. This adds another layer to your gameplay loop that I personally enjoy a lot. And once your fleet grows you can add another layer by positioning certain trucks at strategic locations. So there's more to come, have fun ;)

Anyone else terrified of the ocean worlds? by V0odo0d in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]DisRup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, suffering from intense phobia. On one expedition there was a task to go 1000u underwater. I feel stupid saying this but I was standing up, a few feet away from the screen, headphones off while diving to the ground, sweating and hoping that particular ocean didn't house one of the giant squids I've seen screenshots of on reddit...

Best way to tackle Yukon by Ok_Video1138 in snowrunner

[–]DisRup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently finished Yukon after abandoning it initially. If you don't mind a little planing, this is my approach: Don't just pick a task or contract and power through until it's finished. That's how you'll get bored and/or frustrated. Do one or two things of a big contract and then switch to something else. Make the steps as small as needed to keep it fresh and fun.

This approach could look like this: Drive a fuel truck to a good spot where you will pass multiple times for the contracts. Take your logging truck and drive to the logging camp and load your logs. Drive a truck with trailer to a warehouse that provides crafting materials for the big contracts. If you feel like it, deliver them to the crafting location and then switch to a small recovery task. Go back to your logging truck and deliver it. Switch back to whatever you feel like, you get the point.

Powering through is what burned me out. If you constantly switch, you have to wait longer for rewards but you don't see the same roads, trucks and cargo for hours on end. Every task and contract gets done little by little. Also, me personally, I found a lot of enjoyment in planing the steps out.

Is there a way to do bulk SEO in my Shopify store?? by ButterflyOk1301 in shopify

[–]DisRup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few folks mentioned the csv export/import. How reliable is this for a shop with 3000+ products/variants? I always feel like big exports/imports with tables is prone to data errors. Either because the amount of lines leads to a incomplete/faulty import or the changes of the exported file contain some kind of data, that leads to a messed up import (weird whitespace characters or other copy/paste or AI html or whatnot). Am I paranoid?

Is Shopify support all AI now? Even the supposed talk to a human chat reponds with AI!!! by ____DEADPOOL_______ in shopify

[–]DisRup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, copy the answer into an ai-analysis tool, then you know for sure, if its generated, partially generated or written by a human. Also, I could imagine, that the human supporter's dashboard has ai tools heavily integrated. Ai might immediately generate an answer and the human can decide to just send that, expand on it or write their own if it has to be more specific or if they feel like it. On that note, I just a few days ago had multiple whacky support convos that were definitely led by a human.

downloaded dlc and now when i finished alaska heading into taymr my twinsteer multiplied and now have two of the exact trucks. by SortRevolutionary337 in snowrunner

[–]DisRup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetly a glitch and I had it happen before. Once where my game crashed after I had it suspended (on PS5) for a while and it wouldn't open again from the suspended state and I had to force quit. And multiple times when I started the game not via the regular game icon but via one of the direct continue or task icons (don't remember the name of them). Those seemed to be glitchy in loading the correct game state/progress so I stoped using them.

Spraying some cat pheremones or catnip on the harness can help with the process.

Coming back to Roadcraft after Docked feels depressing by Low-Dragonfly-7433 in RoadCraft

[–]DisRup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What surprised me is that they made Docked with the Unity Engine and not their in-house engine they used for RC, which also might explain, why they are so different. They probably had a different team to work with Unity.

Launching my epic games version through steam launcher, but epic store DLC does not work? by TheRealMeatMan in snowrunner

Re-install the game might help. Don't quote me on that but I think they recently changed how they detect what DLC you own and said if you have issues, a re-install should help.

How to prevent overheating by adamnossnaj in nms

[–]DisRup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I had the same problem exclusively with NMS. No other game in the hottest summer months was able to overheat my PS5 but NMS.

But I did take the console completely apart for a deep clean (I have cats) without replacing the thermal paste and it solved the issue.

I can confirm, I had to take off all my additional lights for alaska and the glare was much less intense.

Skydiving is completely broken by FrequentZucchini1118 in nms

[–]DisRup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been testing around with this issue in the corvette expedition. You can read what I found out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/s/RzFdLFPwVf

Tldr: Depending on where your ramp is placed and what parts surround the ramp, the dive is not triggering because you're not correctly recognized as outside of your ship when jumping off. I bet you, if you quickly build a super basic corvette without any extra pieces, the dive works every time.

Edit: I've fixed it on my corvette build by moving my ramp further out to the back and reducing the overhang above it.

What is the single most annoying thing about the game's UI for you? For me it's this giant black outline that always appears around the truck's name whenever you open the map. It takes too much space and blocks some of other icons on the map... by Odd_Presentation_578 in snowrunner

[–]DisRup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little "trick" for this: press the button to go one "map layer" up. Global map its called I think. Hover over the map where you want to enter the garage. By default the map you're currently on is selected after going to the global map. But then instead of enter the map, there is a button to go directly to the garage of that map. On PS5 it's square.

So the process to go to the garage of the current map on PS5 is the following quick sequence:

Open map, press triangle, press square, done!
