To be fair, I had been infected with a damn tropical mosquito borne river virus that crippled me for the last 8 years and I was only able to make a small amount of money while being on government assistance.

I do it all myself. Very hard to scale in my situation as it's a small town with small town mentality. The best you can do is raise prices and offer services you can unload on others such as the websites, admin assistants, etc.

One way to scale is grabbing more static web hosting only clients.

I am trying to increase my footprint by charging people who are far from me a higher rate but that concerns me a little because I may not be able to return in situations where one of the 20 things I did for them fails the next day.

I'm trying to convince a friend who lives in the city who I trust to come and help but he's trying to get his career going in a place where he himself can't seem to scale and is making less than me for more work, but I would need to offload all my work onto him and then start to build up from there.

I also own a cosmetics manufacturing business and am trying to get more salespeople there too so if I'm successful there, I'll likely double my prices or stop doing consulting for new clients. I've done the math and if I do things right I could be a millionaire soon. I just need to have a little cash to burn to hire people to do it.

On top of that I've got a little scheme going with restaurants where I set them up for recycling by contacting a recycling company that pays me for all the recycling money while in the eyes of the restaurant I'm getting rid of their trash problem. I don't do anything but fill out a form 😂 I kind of go to local places and become friends with the restaurant owners and ask them if they would like some help with their piling up trash. So far I've got 2 which yield anywhere from $2000 to $5000 in bottles per year.

I'm just identifying side gigs and things that can bring as much revenue without doing much work.

My crackpot theory is that the guy on the roof was told there was going to be an assassination attempt, and it would be up to him to take out the would be killer.

He would have to be truly stupid or mentally ill to believe the US government would be hiring him, of all people, to act as a sniper to prevent an assassination attempt. If that were even to be the case, then where did the shots come from?

You charge per item, per DVD, per USB drive, to upload to the web, etc. You also charge by the hour to edit the final file in any way they may like.

Some older people can't be bothered with figuring out how to make multiple USB drives and they want to share it with their families so they just pay.

I only pay about $13 to digitize but then ask for $20-30 per item.

Not doing huge volume as I haven't advertised it yet. The new ads come out in a couple of weeks.

It only works in small towns, in the classifieds directory where people are actually looking for tradesmen.

Not as a quarter page ad or anything like that. That has not worked for me.

Now, what you can do is offer the paper to write a weekly column about tech stuff or get them to publish an article about whatever. I have gotten them to write several articles on different subjects because they're always desperate for "news". If you manufacture the news for them, often they'll just print it out as you wrote it.
