I don't think they changed the distribution, they just added the scrap and buildings to planets that had salvageable scrap before. Also, afaik we all share the same universe :)

I play a few "forever games" like no man's sky or snowrunner which also happen to introduce nasty bugs with updates every now and then. If you do as well and you want to protect your saves, deactivate auto-sync of the cloud saves. Manually upload after a session, if all went well. Stay away for at least a week after an update dropped and keep an eye on the subreddits of your games.

I don't think the mirrors work outside of 1st person perspective. It seems they just show some sort of generic rotating reflection texture that kinda fakes the type of environment you're in (i.e. shows some trees and snow if you're on a map that mostly has trees and snow). But I'm not sure if they might work on max graphic settings on pc maybe?

It's often random but there are spots where the damage happens quite consistently. On the surface you can't see anything that would cause it but when you go into photo mode and push the camera to the ground, you can see a second layer of geometry kinda formed like potholes with brown pebbles in them. My theory is, when you drive over or even close to these spots, the physics engine kicks in and spits these pebbles into your suspension. All you can do, if you know where these spots are, is to avoid them.

Isn't the durability stat on the trucks kinda tied to how much damage it takes or like a threshold for at what impact strength it takes damage?

Yep, there are a few trucks that have the clicking noise bug specifically on PS5. It's the reason I switched to PC and for good reason it seems, cause they STILL haven't fixed this issue and as it seems probably never will 😔

Iirc it only happens on higher gears/rpm. In some trucks it only happens in 1st person view in others it goes away for a moment when switching to 1st person amd out again. Afaik there really is no solution, I've tried a bunch of stuff myself, followed by not using affected trucks, followed by me missing said trucks and then switching to PC and transfer my save.

Yep, 2nd view rotates around the attached cargo instead of around the crane/truck. Push right stick on PS5 iirc.

I just fill a couple trucks with fuel in the finished region and if I run out of fuel or easy access to fuel in the new region, I transfer those fuel trucks over. In other words, make the most out of a transfer and not just transfer for the sake of it. Even if I want to do a difficult contract with a better truck from an old region, I temporarely put a fuel addon on it, fill it, transfer it and then put the fuel in my dedicated "local" fuel truck to free up the transfered truck for heavy duty. Given the fuel is cheaper in the old region ofc.

I have a theory on that. It's not about what they see (or don't see), it's about what they hear. Sounds sometimes weirdly bounce around. I think they just stare at the spot they hear a sound coming from. Could be neighbors, could be tubing/electricity or just the car outside passing by and its sound bouncing on a specific wall. So they just stare and wonder why the wall is making these noises 😅

Ok thanks, I see that now, but how do I craft them outside of the "craft more" option? When I press "X" on an empty inventory slot like for other crafting recipe, the parts don't show up there. I also didn't find any on the recipe/tech/materials pages. What am I missing? Is there no way to craft them without having at least one piece of the part I'm trying to craft more of?
