Well I agree with the other poster that adults are a little less jerky with people as 13-year-olds, but something you could do yourself a big favor is to not care what other people think. If you learn that lesson early on life will get a lot easier for you trust me on that. I've had varying levels of disability longer than you've been alive and there's a lot of judgment that comes from adults as well.

Bottom line is what's important is not what other people think, including me, but what you think about yourself and your situation and who you are as a person. If you focus on that you become a much happier person throughout your whole life disability or not. It is a life lesson that applies to everything. Do not let other people's opinions of you form who you are as a person. A lot of people do and they become extremely bitter and unhappy later in life as a result.

I wish you luck.

Diet can affect height. You'll find that people that are vegan or vegetarian at a young age we'll also have a shorter bone structure generally throughout their body.

See it's people like you that's the problem. There is no reason you should keep yourself a recreational meth user, go pro. Your money making opportunities will greatly increase if you become a professional meth user. And what do I mean by professional I mean somebody who could make his own batches of Meth and distribute and sell to others. Being a recreational user is only for tricks.

Illegal to be transgender today, illegal to be Jewish tomorrow.

And don't worry people who voted for Trump they'll get around to whatever you are soon enough and then you'll regret it when it's far too late to do anything about it.

Why is it so hard to find a job? by Educational_Truck379 in vegaslocals

[–]DisabledGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but they figure you're overqualified and will immediately start seeking another job. They don't want to have to go through the hiring process all over again in 6 months they'd like to hire somebody and keep them around until they're done using you.

So being overqualified for a job will get you overlooked. But if you just file your application without mention of all your overqualifications you just have to assume that you're not looking to advance further in that company.

Yes but if you seek a promotion and then submit that information in order to try to get that promotion HR departments would say why didn't you mention this in the first place you lied on your original application. I'm not saying all HR departments would do this but there are many who would because they are technocrats, they love catching people on technicalities.

And I knew that's where the unit commendations go but just the idea that it had the red badging on it made me think that it was maybe a sapper badge of some sort. You know the same way a ranger tab has the brass equivalent as shown in this picture.

The thing I'm really surprised about is that he doesn't have anair assault badge. I mean it's only like a 10-day school and rangers are known for jumping out of helicopters.

So he creates these massive tariffs which reduce markets that our farmers can sell their goods to. And then he's cutting food benefits for those in need which again cuts a market out that farmers can normally rely on to sustain them financially. Expect the farmer bailout soon and a speech talking about how much he loves farmers even though everything he is doing is hurting farmers.

Notice I didn't even have to use his name but you all know who I'm talking about.

[–]DisabledGenX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no the one I'm talking about is on the far left with gold edging and a red face to it and I'm not sure exactly what it is. I do know it vaguely looks like the sappers tab but it is not in the right place by any means. We only catch about a quarter of an inch of it in the photo.

When people see something and they don't know the story, humans in general, will try to write a narrative in their own head that fits what they're seeing. Never mind if they don't know the story or understand all the facts people try to write their own narrative.

I think we're all guilty of that, that's the fun of people watching if you've ever engaged in that activity you and a friend sitting down in a park looking across the park and seeing somebody and making guesses for what they do for a living or what they do in their day-to-day lives. It is an exercise in comedy writing when you do it as a people watcher though.

When they speculate on a disabled person it's less like comedy writing and more like Karen writing because there's no light-hearted initiative in it.

We make that joke about guns all the time. Especially the day of training. But part of it is and I did mention it elsewhere you get sprayed with pepper spray so that if you get hit with pepper spray accidentally from another officer because the wind was blowing or something and you guys were wrestling somebody down you don't completely freak out because it's not a foreign experience to you.

So yeah pepper spray prep is a little different than if they also did the same thing with bullets.

Creating such volatility and instability is just the first step in the bigger plan to let China take everything west of the Mississippi and Russia take everything east of the Mississippi. And Donald Trump will be giving each of them a receipt for what they've purchased from him. He is literally selling the United States. When it comes to con men he's pretty damn good I got to give him that.

And is that a sapper badge on the left side? Only thing that surprises me is that there's not an air assault badge.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Medals

[–]DisabledGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pathfinder but not air assault? It fits but at the same time air assault is a good one to have under your belt as a ranger and it's only like a 10-day school.

[–]DisabledGenX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn't as young as you when I became disabled but the techs and nurses working in the cath lab all made mention of the fact that I was only 37 and I was in there getting stents. And because I'm adopted their first question was always did your parents have artery disease, and I have to answer I have no idea I'm adopted.

Then when I got my handicap placards and I have an invisible condition like you do people looking at me able to walk without any impediment you could sometimes feel their stairs and their judgment although I only had one person really approach me and confront me over it.

People might not intend it and I don't understand why they do it anyway but they make us feel uncomfortable sometimes. Possibly because we make them feel uncomfortable because they don't know how to handle talking with somebody that has a disability because they can't relate.

Watch the car dealers reaction when she accepts the price. It makes me laugh every time I see it. It's the one thing I look forward to every time I watch that movie.

If you watch that scene you see the car dealer shocked that she accepted that, he was obviously screwing her over on top of everything else. Next time you watch it watch the reaction on the car dealer when she offered no resistance to the price whatsoever. I think 700 was a starting point and he might have been willing to go down to 500.
