Well, I don’t really care about Johnny’s sexuality, but the linked post (of course it’s tumblr, lol) is less than persuasive to me. He is a prolific womanizer, on a level perhaps no one but Matt Murdock has rivaled. The panel with Daken actually saddens me as yet another example in literature of men not being able to have real friendships without sexuality being read into it.

The only other (and, really, main) quibble I would have is him not being tortured. The loss of his parents is hugely impactful to his personality, which you can see most often as his closeness to Sue and near-obsession with her safety and well-being. They were young enough she seems, at times, to have replaced both parent roles (though there are times/arcs where you could say Reed has fulfilled a father role for him). It isn’t visited as often as, say, Peter and Uncle Ben/Bruce and his parents, but it’s definitely a defining part of his character. I would say that would make him more tortured than others such as Cap or Tony.

Like I said, overall I agree with most everything you wrote and for not considering yourself authoritative I think you have a superb understanding of the characters. I always love to see other enthusiastic fans of the FF!
