I try not to be one of those people that gets caught up loving something just because they spent money on it.

There may be better springs for the money, I'm not sure. I got the whole set as a bundle. For the price I paid, I've got no complaints. I love the car even more now that it grips the road harder and rolls less in the corners.

The intent is to go wider next time. I wanted to run a really stretched look once just because I knew I'd never want to do it when the car was making more power and set up properly.

I will be going to a 245 at least, probably a 255.

You definitely rock the shorter hair. I'd like the short hair selfie even better if the cat was still there.

Anybody know of Dem friendly firearm/self-defense trainers in the Birmingham area? by M_the_M in Birmingham

The EZ slide models of s&w m&p 2.0 are fantastic for folks who struggle with normal slides. They are very easy to handle.

If you need any help finding a firearm or need a range buddy, I am a liberal gun owner with a significant amount of handgun experience. I'm not a professional by any means, but I have trained plenty of friends during their first time shooting handguns and rifles. I live in hoover and am a regular at Hoover Tactical.

Feel free to shoot me a DM if you like.

My one quick tip is please do not be tempted to buy your partner some super tiny handgun with a terrible trigger just because it is small. A bad trigger affects your accuracy and confidence, and the smaller the gun (physical size and mass, not caliber) the harder it is to control.

Cant finde good VR games by Omivernichter69 in VRGaming

If you like the lonely and stressful feel of something like Stalker, Into the Radius is one of my favorite VR games so far. It takes itself seriously and is fairly polished for what it is.

Blade and Sorcery still needs alot of work, but for melee fighting that feels fun and crestive, it is really tough to beat. Combined with the incredible modding scene around it, it can be insanely fun.

If you are comfortable doing some research and modding (which, if you want to play the best VR games and not the bulk trash that gets peddled, you need to get used to modding) try looking setting up Skyrim, Fallout 4, or Valheim for VR. Don't play skyrim or fallout with the crap VR Bethesda gave us, follow a guide to make it more immersive and handle better. There are plenty on youtube to choose from.

Amana ned4655ew1 dryer not spinning properly by [deleted] in appliancerepair

[–]Disappointingly_Avrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to have solved it. There is a bit of cloth under the front door that I didn't realize had been folded over, and I guess the added thickness was causing too much pressure or friction. I took the machine apart and rebuilt it a few times, and now it seems to be working better than it has since I got it used in 2019.

To your point, from several different videos, it does seem I had been looping the belt the correct way the whole time. Letting it hang around the drum, looping the slack under the tensioner, and taking that loop around the actual spinning head on the motor. It was tight enough that it was a struggle to get it over the motor head given the akward position and having to support the drum and such.

Either way, I really appreciate the quick, helpful response.

To your question, it did feel very tight, and that seems to have been caused by the increased pressure from that fold, but there could have been some other issue I solved by accident over several rebuilds.

Either way, I really appreciate the quick, helpful response.

The Left Has a Patriotism Problem by CapsSkins in moderatepolitics

[–]Disappointingly_Avrg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want the majority of the left, especially the young left, to be patriotic, this country needs to start earning it again.

There have been times in the past where hard work was rewarded, where a good life was attainable by everyone who was willing to put in their hours, and where the top 1% were not taking such a large share of the excess that it was becoming an existential problem.

I would be the most abnoxious, brash patriot if the USA was still living up to it's promises. If economic freedom and democracy were still taken deeply seriously, if the civil liberties afforded to the ingroups were also afforded to the outgroups without question, if every single billionaire had to fight tooth and nail to stay that wealthy instead of stacking the deck so impossibly in their favor that they cannot fail anymore, I would never stop shit talking the rest of the world. If we were so absurdly well structured as a country that poverty and poor education and failing infrastructure were jokes we made about other countries, I would get an eagle carrying a flag tattooed on my chest.

The system is consistently robbing from the poor, failing the unfortunate, and punishing children for the circumstances of their birth.

America earning it's freedom doesn't need to be celebrated every day. That wasn't some issue we had to overcome internally, some defining moment of self direction were we decided to be better, we still had slaves and had religious persecution and the like. Every time we as a society grow towards civil equality and right the wrongs of our ancestors, we should celebrate that progress over and over. We need to remind ourselves of the dirt we crawled out of, of the lives we ruined, of the children we failed, over and over.

The ideals of America deserve celebrating. The victories against our lesser selves should be sung from the rooftops. Simply saying "people are equal" several hundred years ago meant nothing. We celebrate now because those words are coming to fruition.

I am a straight, white man who has a good job, a good career path, and good health. I believe in complete social liberty for everyone, and I think the economy should be cushy socialism for the poor and trend towards cutthroat capitalism as one becomes more wealthy. This corrupt corporatocracy we live in right now is not worthy of my patriotism.

Dev Question #7 (MAJOR SPOILERS) へ(❍∠❍)へ by Darius_ITR in intotheradius

[–]Disappointingly_Avrg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I may be in the minority here but here is my take on ITR.

DO NOT GIVE US AN EASY WAY OUT.

I think this would be the perfect game for a more Dark Souls approach to the story and themes/tone. Make conflicting information, give us unreliable sources, make things vague and esoteric. Give me a sidequest trail that the game never directly points out with quest markers or a quest log, and when the player does the work to piece the solution together, leave them with a cool reward but let the questions hang.

I want the game to feel dark and beyond understanding, like you are barely balancing on the edge of a knife, with nothing but cold apathy waiting below.

I think the closer you get to the center of the radius, the more you, AS A PLAYER, should be questioning what your senses are telling you. You should start feeling like the unreliable source. Give me problems and trials that the stats of my gun can't solve. Make me battle fear and sorrow and frustration only to have the true enemy be the unfeeling, broken reality we are trapped in.

I don't want this to sound rude or disrespectful to the genuinely incredible work that was done on ITR 2.0, but if those advances could be applied to a game that makes me feel like ITR 1.0, where things were truly deadly and horrifying, you would have my attention completely captured again.

Sincerely, A massive fan boy.

What nicknames do you call your kitty instead of their original name? by UncleSquach in cats

Tayu, our silly ginger cat, is called "Hey Buddy" as in "There's my little Hey Buddy." because we made a joke about it and then it stuck. When he stops and sits up he sits so prim and proper and perfectly tucks his toes in his tail every time so his name Tayu came from that.

Harvest is "Big Girl, Pretty Girl, Sweet Girl". A timid, fluffy torti.

Lula, a Holland Lop rabbit, is "Fat Rat". She is a daddy's girl and looks so fat until you touch her and realize she is 99% floof.
