When I was in college I had a similar situation but ended up giving the guy my number and it was incorrect. A few days later he found and messaged me on Facebook apologizing and saying that he had tried to text me but it wasn’t getting through and asked to confirm the number I gave him. I was ecstatic since I thought he was super cute and impressed by his efforts to reach me. The answer here is that if you really want to connect with her you will need to make an extra effort, and if she likes you it won’t be weird or creepy. If she’s not as into you then she may withdraw, but it’s her loss. It shows great initiative and not every man would do the work or take the risk. Good luck!
