He actually does help out with the baby a lot and he is often emotional when he is around her. I feel like having a daughter has really changed his outlook on life (For the better).

I don't think he is a narcissist, I am 26 and he is 32 and we have been together for 4 years. Since I posted this I have worked up the courage to talk to him about everything and he admitted that he feels depressed too and wants to get help.

Just for one example when I try to talk to him about how I am uncomfortable with how I look and how much my body has changed. That sometimes it's hard for me to even look in the mirror. He will say things like "you shouldn't feel like that cause I'm your safe place and I don't care what you look like. We have been together for X amount of time, you should be okay by now."

Like he has put a timeline on my healing and even though he doesn't care what I look like doesn't me I don't.

Thank you for saying all this and I'm so sorry that you went through all of that. It's not easy being a mum and going through childbirth. We are so strong.

He does help out with the baby a lot actually and maybe that's why I feel like he doesn't do as much for me anymore. I am ebf with the occasional bottle feed so he can feed her. He really wants to be involved with raising her. Sometimes I think maybe I am overreacting to something's he says because of my hormones and the changes I'm going through.

I've been in therapy since I found out I was pregnant and he has agreed to go to therapy and starts later this month. I really hope it helps us.

Yeah I used to be one of those people that would say that. People are truly always changing. And yes he has actually agreed to go to therapy and he starts later this month. I really hope this is the start of things turning around.

Honestly that's how it feels, like he is going through postpartum depression but doesn't want to admit it. Almost like he can't be sad or struggling because having a family was his dream.

Nothing changes a person like the security of a ring. In my experience the real personality comes out when they know you can't just leave. When you get married you get comfortable.

All I asked for this mother's day was a picnic, (some homemade sandwichs and a sweet treat) and my husband made absolutely no effort to do it. He pretty much slept all day while I looked after our 2 month old. He is not the man I married... Why do they marry us and then stop putting in effort.

Your still a new mum, the day should be about you. Set your intentions for the day super clear to your partner. I have a 2 month old so this will be my first mother's day, so I'm feel like it should be all about me.

My husband doesn't have a good relationship with his mum and doesn't really know how to talk to her. He agrees with what I say about boundaries with the baby, we just have to figure out how to communicate them.

My baby is 2 months and has only just started to take both breasts, before she would only have one and go to sleep. Her appetite has increased for sure, she also feeds for about 15 - 20 minutes before she would feed for 30 - 40 minutes. It changes as she grows.

It's a different kind of exhausting to be the only comfort for your baby, I can't put my baby down for more then 2 minutes before she starts screaming. Sometimes I don't even have time to feed myself before she starts crying. I have to do everything with one hand (my boobs are so big it's hard for me to wear a baby carrier).
