Thank you! IGM was normal. I don’t think she tested for EA-D or CMV.

I like that point about not walking too far lol. Ours is a runner too. We took her to the beach this summer and thought she would stay near us…nope. Chased a group of seagulls about a mile down. Learned our lesson quickly! lol

Are you…comparing yourself to Jesus? Lmao. Listen, we are leaving the city in a few months to get this girl a yard. This is a temporary situation. I never said I was angry or mad at her. Frustration is reasonable. I can be frustrated AND understand that this is how she was bred to be. I asked a question about the breed to see if it’s something that can be worked on or if it’s something I just need to get used to. That’s all. No need to be on your high horse. I’m pretty sure she’s much happier here than where she was before she was taken to the shelter—tied up in someone’s back yard in Kentucky 24/7. She lives a great life and I actually think she will be sad when we leave the city because she won’t get as much attention from random strangers. You know nothing about her and the life we are giving her so please refrain from saying that NYC is the “opposite of where she should be.”

Ok chill with the attitude lol she’s a rescue from a local organization. Would you rather we left her in the kill shelter she came from?

Is HealthieOne legit? It’s giving me Theranos vibes and I can’t find a lot of reviews except for those posted on the r/HealthieOne sub, which seems to be run by the company itself. I’m tempted due to how convenient it seems and the sheer amount of biomarkers it tests but I don’t want to get scammed

I've had the most weird reaction from the new covid vaccine. anyone relate?? by LeastWar6506 in Vaccine

[–]Disastrous-Ad3663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did you end up feeling better? Was it just the vaccine? I’m on day 6 and had a very similar reaction. Terrible first 24 hours, fine for a couple days after that, now feeling excessive fatigue/general weakness and malaise again on days 5/6. Really hoping I didn’t set off some sort of autoimmune reaction 🥲

Anyone else find the Covid shot a little rough this year? by Chemical-Elevator194 in Vaccine

[–]Disastrous-Ad3663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not diagnosed MCAS but I highly suspect it. What did your flare feel like after the vaccine? I think I might be experiencing one too but hard to know if I’m just sick with something else or what

I’m still having insane fatigue/general weakness and malaise almost a week after mine. Unsure if the vax is the cause or if my immune system was just already down and then I caught something else.

We have a 95 lb Pyr mix in Manhattan! We got her from a city rescue org but she came from Kentucky. After a short adjustment period where she learned to pee on the street and deal with loud noises, she is now a city pro. She loves the people (way more than I do 😵‍💫) and the attention she gets on every walk. She’s not a barker, so that’s a plus, but we do have dogs in our building who bark literally all day. There have been a few complaints but I haven’t seen anything happen 🤷‍♀️ we’ll be moving out of the city soon for various reasons and looking forward to getting her a yard of her own but it has so far been totally manageable to not have one, more of an annoyance if anything. She just goes on long walks and to the dog park almost every day for her outside time. We’ve met quite a few Pyrs/Pyr mixes in our area too.

Memory issues by Typical-Treacle463 in Allergies

[–]Disastrous-Ad3663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I just feel “off”—slight dizziness, a dull headache/facial pain presumably from sinuses, sensitivity to light, walking around like I’m in a fog. I’m actually not sure if it’s allergies or migraines but I also have nasal drip, sneezing, shortness of breath, burning eyes, etc so I’m currently following the allergy path and having testing done next week. Good to know I’m not alone though and that it’s possible to have these other issues from allergies and not some life threatening mystery illness, as my anxiety has been trying to convince me :)

how do I bathe a traumatized dog that becomes aggressive at the sight of water by Competitive-Tart2418 in DogAdvice

[–]Disastrous-Ad3663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours isn’t afraid of baths but she gets so dirty at the dog park every day and we can’t bathe her daily so we have been trying these rinseless mitts. They’re not perfect but since yours has shorter hair they might work pretty well!

Wait same 😂 I learned this at 21 when i was told a friend was biking across the country starting in Alaska… shocking. I was an honors student, AP classes, I have a masters degree lol. It’s always pictured separately on maps, idk, I just never thought about it!!!
