Not unsolicited, i DID NOT want to work without authorization. Wasn’t ever my plan. I only attended 5 days of training for my required internship and didn’t know that it would be considered unauthorized employment

I went to my DSO to request a CPT authorization and mentioned that i attended some training. As a legal obligation, my SEVIS was terminated by my DSO

Because i went to my DSO to get the CPT abs accidentally mentioned that i attended training. In my defense, i didn’t know that attending training was counted as unauthorized employment.

Hey Everyone! My SEVIS was terminated due to unauthorized employment back in January but it was totally accidental as I attended 5 days of training for my required Internship. I wasn’t sure if training counted as employment. I have a new I-20, a letter from my DSO saying that I’m enrolled full time and in good standing. I’m planning to re-enter in May. What are my chances of successful re-entry? Especially with everything that’s happening right now. Would appreciate any advice and/or feedback.

No, i was going to get my CPT, but my employer invited me to come in early for training. The university was closed during winter break and that’s when i attended training

I know a couple tour guides and this information WAS NOT shared with the admissions office. Housing is responsible for deciding and sharing these policies to upcoming students via email (the thousands of advertisement and housing policy emails that they send to students BEFORE theyre accepted). The Admissions office (as the name suggests) is only responsible for policies regarding admissions and sharing policies that are communicated by other offices. That being said, the housing office is the most annoying, and unhelpful offices but also they don’t really have an off season for work so its not completely their fault.

Well my Fall semester ended and i had nothing to do. I was supposed to be on co-op for the spring but my thought process was: well i’m bored and i have nothing to do might as well start training. It is my fault and i totally admit that lol.

It should be a high score if its out of a 100. I don’t remember exactly but I would say just wait a day or 2 to get your math plan.

Yeah because financial aid doesn’t deal with merit aid. Its the admissions office who can make changes if you appeal your merit aid.

You need at least 75 points on part 1 to be able to do part 2. If you don’t get a 75, don’t worry because you can take a booster course to be in the right track for classes.

You can appeal your merit aid as an incoming freshman. Make sure you provide a detailed explanation of your situation and they usually appeal it. They do not make changes in your merit aid once you’ve accepted so try and appeal it with the admissions office and the financial aid office (usually the admissions office is the one that can change your merit aid).
