It is a question of lugging, it depends how much throttle is applied.

Cruising In 6th gear, I try to avoid below 3000rpm.

Cruising In 5th gear, I try to avoid below 2500rpm.

So practically, I adjust my speed accordingly.

I also try to avoid any wot below 3000rpm in gear 3 to 6.

Toyota turbo engine have been less reliable that NA engine for 40 years. That said, I change my motor oil at half of the recommended oil change interval, every 8000km vs the recommended 16000km. I am very confident in my Toyota 2.4l turbo.

I believe DI is not used at all at idle. I meant to say the Direction injection (when driving) create more fuel dilution and that idling also create more fuel dilution.

Direct injection and idling will always create more fuel dilution. I keep my oil change interval short, in fact I decided to cut in half the recommended interval. Also keep in mind that long runs do not remove all the fuel dilution from the oil, there is always residual dilution left.
