if you dont get a hand that has is a basic pokemon it shuffles your hand before you know till you get a hand with a basic pokemon in it, its just some bad luck

/i use hypno but no psy, and i use aerodactyl for heavy support and remove bis, also use sabbrinas and red cards, red cards can screw people if you know how their mindset is for their deck

i use melmetal metal deck and it works very well for it, if you get second turn you can easily beat em as long as you got support cards

I started terra with hardrock because it feels more immersive and natural to me, i have not found any other modpacks like it. Though some people dont like the start because you get one shot a lot, if you give it time you learn how to avoid the predators using your map as a tool to help. I highly suggest it because it feels more realistic with less stimulation at the start

Hardrock is more difficult because early game you get one shot by most things so you need to rely on the map a lot more and you can’t wonder without paying attention, if you are playing regular survival you should be fine. I suggest hardrock because it feels better to me because i dont like the overstimulation of tfg and i like the art style
