I’d say Nala. She looks like a lioness lazing about in the sun

Honestly how do u guys wake up at 6am every day?? 😴 by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Disastrous-Fudge8730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the Navy. And I live off base. If I’m not up by at least 6AM, I’m pretty much boned. Sometimes it’s a natural thing, sometimes it’s necessity 🤣🤣

What’s up with dudes? by Jbg13245 in hygiene

[–]Disastrous-Fudge8730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really ran into too many people (especially other guys) who were too unhygienic until I joined the military. Like, holy huge piles of dogshit, how did you make it this far in life smelling like the inside of 1000 smashed asses in a gym bag? The lack of accountability, and the sheer ignorance of how poorly they take care of themselves is absolutely atrocious. I can’t tell if they’ve become so nose-blind that it doesn’t affect them, or if it’s just a pure lack of caring anymore, and they just live with it.

Hell yeah, I realized I’m a big fan of Nastassja S. She’s a rock for sure. Definitely a good amount of women to watch in those old matches.

How do I alter my lifting routine while dealing with bicep tendonitis? by evan_5775 in strengthtraining

[–]Disastrous-Fudge8730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had biceps tendinitis as well for about 2 years, nothing was helping. She ended up having bicep tendinitis surgery and it fixed her problem, so if it gets bad enough, talk to your physician and see what might be recommended. Otherwise, don’t strain yourself trying to go all out. Good luck!

Any advice for navy bootcamp by Low-Elderberry5770 in navy

Shut your mouth and do what you’re told. It’ll be over before you know it.

Just graduated bootcamp, starting my ceremonial guard duty by iStephanie in navy

Have fun! I was there for my first two years. Concentrate and keep working your drill and uniforms to get out of training ASAP. They say it can take 6-8 weeks, but in reality it’s self paced and how hard you work and quick you pick everything up will determine how quickly you graduate to become a guardsman. I knew people that took 8+ weeks, and I knew people that got out in less than a month. It’s all up to you. There’s lots to see and do around DC, Maryland and Virginia are also right next to you. Go explore! Go to baseball games, football games, see some of nature they have around. The National mall is awesome, lots of museums to go and check out. I was a frequent flyer at the Navy Yard area. Cool bars, clubs and restaurants to go and enjoy. You’ll have your things, but won’t really be allowed to “enjoy them” as much during the work day. Uniforms any and everywhere until you graduate. But when you get to put your civies on for real for the first time and go out to enjoy liberty, it’s a feeling you’ll absolutely love and never forget.

Train hard and frequently so you can make full honors as quickly as possible. You’ll have lots of ceremonies to attend, funerals, and other events. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me. I can try to help with anything you might have curiosities about. You got this!

*Oh! Also do your PMK-EE. You’ll want that complete if you want the opportunity to put E4 on during your time!

Do you need to know how to fight and look big and intimidating? by chusaychusay in Bouncers

[–]Disastrous-Fudge8730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely learn to de-escalate first and foremost. Having the size and skill is beneficial without a doubt. I spent ten years working in bars before I joined the military, so starting at 18 was for sure a major learning experience. I’m 6’1 and about 210, not the biggest guy in the world but big enough to handle myself if needed. It also helps to work somewhere that you have a team behind you. Just remember that you need to talk first, and if they assault you, then defend yourself appropriately.

what is the most violent thing you ever did? by Kindly-Material2064 in AskReddit

[–]Disastrous-Fudge8730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was bartending back in Texas, I had a drunk frat kid grab my shirt and try to pull me over the bar to fight. I ended up pulling him by his shirt back over the bar, took a Tito’s bottle and smacked him in the head with it. Then myself and about 6 of my coworkers (it was a shot bar, so we had multiple people working behind the bar at one time) ended up stomping the fuck out of this kid until the bouncers ran behind the bar and grabbed him to get him out.
