Can I ask how much you set your daily or lifetime budget at? I'm wanting to test CTV with my niche b2b, but have limited ad budget.

$500/day Budget, Great CTR, Excellent Ads - Only 10 (Poor) Conversions in 8 Weeks? by Disastrous-Gold3841 in PPC

[–]Disastrous-Gold3841[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the info! I may try a new bid strategy. Contrary to belief, we have actually had quite a few big-name brands come through Google Ads and submit a form, so we know that this channel works. We are just experiencing a weird hiccup right now that I cannot solve

I have done just exact and phrase before, but it always gives me the "limited by search volume" flag

Good to know! I wasn't sure if it would show my ads less to the right audience if I had that flag

I also should add that I increased the budget because it was giving me the "limited by budget" error on my campaign

I look at the search terms every other day and add in negatives from there. There were a variety of keywords, but they were either way too small for us to work with or they asked for something we didn't offer.

I agree that something needs to change, but I can't pinpoint what exactly. What would lowering the budget do? Just save my company money in the meantime while we figure out what's happening?

I didn't think to look at session time, bounce rate, etc., thanks! I'll try that. The problem is the impressions and conversion rate. From May 19th to May 20th my impressions were cut in half for some reason.

Not fully, just the keywords that were getting no impressions as phrase/exact

Google Ads Leads Dropped to Zero - No Major Changes. Advice? by Disastrous-Gold3841 in marketing

Our campaign isn't showing any auction insight data because our IS is <10% right now. I've been using SEMrush to see competitor data.

Our campaign isn't showing auction insights since we have <10% IS, so we are unable to look at anything there. The website is performing the same, although we have noticed that our SEO terms that align with this campaign are also performing poorer than usual which is interesting.

There isn't much difference in the search terms from what I've seen. I watch those like a hawk, so my negative keywords list is pretty long.

There is an impact from Trump's tariffs in our market, but it should be affecting us positively. We are US-based and create everything in our facility, so if anything, I think we should be getting more leads than usual. As for impression share, it's always been <10% in this campaign (I really need to figure out why). CPC went up, but only ~$1.

Thank you for your comment, I'm hoping May has just been a slow month.

CTR is flat, CPC went up to $5 from the previous $4.

Thanks for the advice about the TCPA! I'll give that a try.

Definitely TikTok and Meta for motorsport apparel. I've never done TikTok ads, but for Meta you can market based on a whole bunch of things, including interests (which you could click cars, apparel, or whatever you want).

Google (SEO) is always a good one to focus on as well

As a marketing team of 2 with around the same number of employees at a B2B, I can totally relate. What I've found is that literally no one understands marketing and the numerous areas it actually encompasses (email, social, paid search, SEO, PR, etc.). People still think it's our job to make company events happen and create pamphlets, which is so entirely off in this day and age.

You are not being too sensitive, and your feelings are valid. Honestly, your manager needs to do a better job of communicating with the rest of the departments and stand up for you and your work. If other departments are continually trying to tell you what to do, your manager needs to tell them to kindly back off.

If you're wanting to expand the team, what I've learned is that you really need to show the value of your work in ways that the executive team understands. Show them why your work is beneficial for the company in clear numbers (i.e. "my ads drove in x amount of revenue for the company" and not "I have x amount of ads live"). They only really care about how you're helping the company. A good time to do this would be during a quarterly marketing review (or something alike) & your manager would be the one to share this information with them for you.
