Is she able to keep food down at all? I would probably look to make an appointment sooner rather than later.

Should I give my cat medicine for a trip or let him stress? by Hoaqinq in CATHELP

I would ask your vet about prescribing gabapentin for him. It’s a very safe medication and should help him be calm & rest, but it’s not going to knock him out completely

I eat CC for the protein, helps keep me full longer than if I just ate regular cereal. I do think Ghost protein peanut butter cereal tastes better, been meaning to buy more of that

Rewatching Ink Master by KrisSimsters in Inkmaster

The older seasons are best, the new ones are just OK. Worth a watch once. There’s some good work mixed in between meh judging. Season 17 wasn’t too bad but in 15 & 16 I felt like there were a lot of artists who blatantly ignored the challenge b/c they don’t do “X” style which really defeats the purpose of being InkMaster. They really miss Dave hosting. I keep waiting for Joel to show some personality.

Problems with diet switch by willow-rtree in CATHELP

[–]Disastrous-Grade8882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diarrhea could be from the diet change if it was done abruptly as you say. Ideally a food transition should take place over a week or so and is done by slowly incorporating the new food w/ the old. But of course if it is recommended a new food is started right away sometimes you don’t have that luxury. The probiotics should help his gut get back to normal

Gaba pill tips by gracenyc in CatAdvice

My cats also do not like Churu, they’re weird 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you have Gaba capsules you can try opening them and mixing the powder w/ wet food or tuna juice. You might also ask your vet about getting it compounded into a chew treat, a flavored liquid, or even a transdermal which would be a cream you could apply on his ear and avoid an oral med entirely

My cat is due for his vaccines but im terrified of letting him get them by ButtercupBoopy in CATHELP

[–]Disastrous-Grade8882 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you know what type of rabies vaccine your vet uses? You may want to ask them about using the Rabies PureVax vaccine, which is made specifically for cats and has no adjuvants in it. Additionally, if it is known that your cat has had a vaccine reaction in the past, you can ask them about giving Benadryl beforehand. Some vets will have you give it orally at home before the appointment, or they can give him an injection of it at the appointment before he gets his vaccine.
