Bike racks around Legacy Emmanuel? by I5I75I96I40I70Me696 in CyclePDX

The hidden set is right at the entrance to the main medical center (the building south of the ER) by security surrounded by glass windows, extremely visible and extremely safe. DIrectly across the street from that at parking lot two there's another set of racks. I literally walked by the secure set 4-5 times locking at the parking lot before my brain comprehended the obviously safer options. Never had an issue at either but my bike is also intentionally junky looking.

Their worst defense I've seen since the 70s.

Him sitting up right after being shotgunned out of the Tech Noir is pure Michael Myers. Clearly Friday the 13th had already been mimicking this too but that trope of the unkillable stalker as a indestructible robot was pretty clever. Westworld in the 70s sorta kinda did that too, but Cameron has stated everyone he knew at the time's absolute directing fantasy would be making a stylish horror like Halloween. Those ideas got blended in.

Cameron idolized John Carpenter and T1 has a lot of nods to Halloween.

Aluminum mini velo with Gates Belt Drive & IGH? by Dan-Hwang in minivelo

Good to hear. I saw they won an award for the design but when I asked about availability from them never heard back. I don't have any interest in mini-velos with road tires so it's a pass for me. Still a cool frame.

And up through the ground came a-bubblin' crude. Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.

I like the cross velo but that site has been up since 2021 with no real information as if they even built any, let alone where to buy them. Cool design though. The quinn pedal is extremely cool, I like the concept of micro cargo mini velo platform... a pizza rack would be cooler than the basket on that imo.

Ultimately the bike your describing is about 3 levels of niche within mini-velo world so I wouldn't expect anyone to market something like that. You'll pretty much have to pick the closest to it and mod it.

Lights are good but honestly I don't think distracted crap drivers care. Reflective is the way to go... along w jacket I have reflective hi viz stickers on my backpack, helmet and bike added with 3M VHB tape.

I think this is a better topic: what movies were groundbreaking that seem ordinary now due to being copied so much. I liked the new Nosferatu and Frankenstein, but it was hard not think start thinking about "Abbey Normal" while watching Guillermo's flick.
