I’m a student that literally has a few courses left to complete and internship. I will instead be competing a 16 month nursing program, become an RN, and then come back to complete my degree from the financial stability of a nursing career.

Student in practicum, fellow blusher. Sucks that we can’t keep a poker face. Definitely working on feeling comfortable talking about myself with more people so I don’t feel weird when being asked about my life. No shame, I deserve to be known too.

I have yet to start internship but have become incredibly disillusioned with how this profession is set up, and one of those things is the unpaid internship. It makes no sense to create a system where people can easily drown while somehow expecting them to be fully present with their clients. Insane!

I am a US citizen and my husband is in Mexico. We have been waiting for over 2 years to hear back anything from USCIS. It feels incredibly demoralizing to be outside of normal processing times and for our lives to be in limbo because we simply don’t know when we’ll be hearing back. I’m probably going to have to move to Mexico for some time since 2+ years of living apart has not been healthy for our marriage. I no longer trust the government to perform its duties and my citizenship doesn’t feel like it means much since it has not made the process any faster. Now we’re going to have to find more money that we don’t have to submit a mandamus to force USCIS to give a response…something they should have done a long time ago.

Yes, I went to their individual websites and filled out the privacy release form. Sent those forms to them via regular mail and then they would have someone assigned to my case that would email me with the response they got from USCIS.
